Sheehan Veterinary Center

I've been taking my dogs to Dr. Sheehan for more than a decade. He and his staff are absolutely wonderful. They are very caring and capable professionals. After my dog had been attacked by another dog, they called me at home several times to check on her progress. The atmosphere in the office is extremely warm and friendly. They even have cookies and lemonade and tea in the waiting room. Dr. Sheehan is an extraordinary diagnostician. If he treated humans, I'd want him to be my own doctor. My only complaint is that it's not unusual to wait more than 30 minutes after appointment time was scheduled to start. This is a hardship for animals who are nervous about being in the vet's office, as many are, and it's an inconvenience. But it reflects Dr. Sheehan's large patient load and his commitment to giving each patient time and attention. And it doesn't happen all the time. But it does happen.

Extremely compassionate and caring! Especially today when my little one was euthanized.  I thought that I should come back and let everyone know that since this review I had to go back and they were there for me in this time of need. I could not have done this without them and the help of friends and family. 

I had been using the same prior veterinary practice for more than 37 years and have become increasingly unhappy in the last several years. I was referred by a friend to Sheehan Veterinary Center and I didn't hesitate to call for an appointment when my current need arose (I suspected diabetes) . As a new patient-parent, I had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment, but it was well worth it. I was directed into the examination room only a few minutes after my appointment time. While waiting for the doctor to read through the extensive report from my previous vet (my cat is 17 years old, so a lot to read), an assistant and then the office manager stayed with us for most of the time (i.e., my feline son and I were not left alone), with the office manager constantly petting my little one. . My fur-baby and I were treated well by the entire staff, both before and during the visit. Because I agreed to a full blood panel, the final cost was a lot higher than I anticipated, but the total without this add-on was right in line with what I was told over the phone.

They are wonderful veterinarians. They are very reasonable price wise and they are very nice people. I didn’t leave them because of their service. I just left them because I have too many animals and I have a vet that comes to the house now. That’s the only reason I left them. Sometimes you do have a hard time getting an appointment with them.

They're excellent. I'll keep using them. I got a very sick dog. The only one objection I have to them is there's only one vet and my dog has been sick and I've had to take her to the emergency room because they're not open on Wednesdays and there's no vet covering them.

We have referred him to several people. He is very personable and takes his time to listen to you. He does not rush through anything. He is a good doctor. We were pleasantly surprised with his pricing compared to other vets we have gone to.

I moved my cats from a VCA practice in another state and  I found Dr Sheehan's prices to be very reasonable and there was no attempt to get me to do loads of extras for my kitties.  While I have spent enormous amounts on my pets in the past and do not shy away from vet bills I found Dr Sheehan to be more than fair. He was not seeking out problems that had not presented themselves.  My cats are happy and well-adjusted (or as well adjusted as kitties can be).  I appreciate the small size of the practice as I know I will always see him and not whatever vet is on that day.  The other employees are pleasant and appear to truly like their jobs.  How nice!

Dr. Sheehan is wonderful vet. They have very responsive and caring people that work there. They are compassionate about animals. They even send out condolence cards when a pet dies.
