ACTIVE OVERHEAD DOOR

Description of Work: provider had originally put in our doors many years ago and did nice job however we needed repair and called to reschedule and then did not show up or call agins

Description of Work: Fixed a broken spring.

Description of Work: Called them primarily to fix one garage door that was cocking in tracks and sticking badly, and check the other two. I had tried lubricating the bad door myself, helped a little but not much. They replaced sticky rollers on the bad door. They noted that door #2 was operating acceptably and did not need work but did have sticky rollers. They did not push having work done, but I elected to have them replaced as well. The new rollers have nylon rims and are much, much quieter than the original all-steel ones. They found one missing roller (!) from the third door (which we operate very rarely, that bay is essentially only storage for kids' bikes, etc.). They checked all three doors, every nut and bolt, motor, gears, chain, limit switches, etc., and made appropriate adjustments and maintenance. Started with one door operating sometimes but sticking and jamming to a stop most of the time, and the other two operating but noisy and with rattles. Now all three operate with surgical precision, incredibly quiet, no looseness or shifting around, etc., a dramatic improvement and well worth the money.
