Auto Glass
I got the "rock chip" in my windshield a few months ago, and just didn't get around to having it fixed yet when I met the owner of Magno. (He was working on another windshield.) He was very professional and explained that given the extreme heat we've had, I was lucky the chip didn't cause a larger crack in the windshield. (whew!) He explained his service and how he worked with the insurance companies. Once I contacted them and he confirmed (with the insurance co.) that he had my permission to fix the chip, they would pay him directly. He then explained the process of repair and exactly what he was going to do and what to expect, as well as the risks of both repairing and leaving it as is. He was definitely knowledgeable. So I agreed to hire him to do the job.
The cost was very reasonable (even out of pocket). He also explained that had the window cracked, he could repair that as well (up to six inches). He turned on the air conditioning to cool down the window and checked the temperature before beginning the repair. The repair itself took about 20 minutes. Then he used a special material to "buff" the area. When he was done, I could barely see where the chip had been!
I would highly recommend Magno Windshield Repair.
