TOUCH OF TILES

We are very pleased with the final results. George was very pleasant and did an excellent job.

George redid our master bath in 2010. He forgot to order the correct tile border for the shower, but what he did order turned out to be fine. The shower doors came in about two weeks after the tiling was done so we could not use the bathroom until they were installed. After the intallation, the door to the stall was not shutting correctly and we called him back to get him to come in and readjust the door. It took him several months to return. His wife, who works for the company, kept making excuses that he was extremely busy and that he would come when he had the time. Finally, I had to get stern with her and he came to fix the door. That was fine until this past summer when the shower started to leak into my dining room ceiling. My husband had to call him at least five times to get him to come over and examine the shower to see why this was happening. He recaulked the shower stall and said to call him if there was another problem. Well, it didn't work and again, my husband called and got the same run around. We gave up and are just going to use our contractor to fix the problem.
For our hall bath, he forgot to order the mosiac tile that goes around the tub and put the shower knob on backwards. So cold is hot and hot is cold. Now the ring that sits on the drain has fallen off. Not even going to bother calling him back because his response time is horrible.
George does an ok job tiling and not the greatest job with the plumbing. His prices are reasonable, but you get what you pay for. Once the work is done, don't expect him to guarantee it. He says he does, but it takes him forever to come back if there is a problem. Unfortunately, I will not use George again and will not recommend him.

It went very smoothly. George and his crew were prompt and very professional. The quality of the tile work was excellent. They laid down drop clothes to cover the carpet on stairs and hallway to the main bath and then at the end of the cleaned up and removed the clothes so no debrie was left behind. They arrived as scheduled, work well around the other sub-contracted activities and completed the job on time (within 2 weeks total time) and at the quoted cost. George was very open to providing various economical tile choices / recommendation, the labor for bath demolition and to install fixtures I provided so that I was able to stay within a limited budget.
This is the second time that I used Touch of Tiles and I will definitly use them again.
