Skydell Contracting did a wonderful job on our bathroom. They had an excellent selection of vanity’s, fixtures, and tiles. Devon gave us good recommendations regarding colors, textures and pricing. And I cannot say enough good things about their project managers, particularly Fabio. He was thoughtful, patient, understanding and always cleaned up after the contractors. The sub-contractors were not always on top of their game, however, Skydell (Richard) always followed-up and rectified all the issues we had by utilizing their internal people. I'll be using Skydell Contracting for future projects.

Our initial plan was to just remodel the kitchen. Richard Skydel developed a plan that that would open up the kitchen, dining room and living room into a grand living area. We were elated by the proposal. The three month disruption during construction was well worth the outcome which is best described as phenomenal. The project manager, Henry, kept close contact with every aspect of the job as if it were his own home. I can't say enough good things about all the people at Skydell who helped make the transition seamless. The interior of our home no longer looks life a product of the 1950's. We no longer have to make excuses when having guests visit. We are finally living in the 21st Century!

Skydell Contracting completely remodeled 3 bathrooms for me. From start to finish, they were a highly professional team and extremely easy to work with. After looking over the site, Richard helped me navigate the design process, which would have been impossible for me on my own. He talked me through the choices to make in a structured way with enough options at each step so that I was happy with the outcome. Henry, the project manager, reviewed the entire agreed-upon scope of work before the start to make sure that we had the same understanding of what was to happen. He organized the work of all of the needed sub-contractors in a smooth way, and always checked in to make sure that they had done a quality job. I always understood what was happening next. There were no headaches for me to deal with at all. The end result is just lovely. I would recommend Skydell to anyone considering this type of remodeling project.

I had a very dated, ugly master bath with ZERO storage space. Skydell designed a bathroom for me that actually made the bathroom look bigger AND added tons of storage space. Like all projects, there were some minor delays and unexpected work that needed to be done when you open floors and walls for the first time in decades. But Skydell handles them all. Everything they said they would do they did. They didn’t stop until I was completely satisfied. I LOVE my new bathroom and would absolutely hire them again.

We were very pleased starting with the planning and down to the implementing of the remodels in our home. From the start, the Skydells team worked with us to find the right design, they were flexible about some changes we wanted; the work crews were professional and even though we encountered some unforseen challenges along the way, they kept us informed, found solutions, and together, we were able to keep the project on track for a satisfying completion. Nothing was left "hanging." We're pleased with the results and enjoying our new spaces!

The job went very well. Richard explained everything in detail and answered all of my questions upfront. I needed assistance with the design aspects and he helped guide me through picking out fixtures, tile, etc. offering design tips. They took care of ordering all materials and getting permits, etc.. The project manager Henry was great too. He let me know in advance who was coming what day and time of arrival. Everything went relatively smooth and finished within a couple days of the scheduled end date. I was getting everything done (replace walls, floor, shower stall, vanity, etc.). The only painful part was the price. It was expensive, but once I got over the sticker shock, I was happy with the quality of work. The only thing is that I wish they did the painting too. They don't do painting.

Richard and all at Skydell were flexible, easy to work with and gave us a quality job with a quick turnaround. We really appreciated their responsiveness to our questions and honest input on what would be in our best interest. I highly recommend Skydell Contractors!

We just had a total bathroom remodel. I can not give a higher recommendation to Richard and his crew. All the subcontractors were great. Richard came up with a beautiful design and helped us choose all the fixtures, tiles and accessories. He had lots of great ideas and pointed us in the right direction. The project manager, Henry, was always available and very easy to work with on the remodel. We are very pleased with the final result.

So happy we selected Skydell for our project. We were impressed from the very start when the owner of the company came to the house to meet with us. His experience, knowledge and professionalism were invaluable in our decision making. The architect was top-notch and let us see different variations of our original design. Our project manager was another class act and gave us daily updates over the 3 month process from demolition through final inspections and punch list. The office manager was a pleasure to work with as well. We now have our dream kitchen.

Before we signed a contract, the owner visited our home and made suggestions about the project. Once we selected Skydell, we worked with the project manager, the subcontractors, and, before construction began, with the technical/estimating analyst. We decided after living with our old rattly cabinets for 15 years that we would select custom cabinets to optimize the space in our relatively small kitchen, even though we could have saved money with standard cabinets. By the time work started we were sure about every measurement, every cabinet, colors, tile, counter, hardware etc.. We were very pleased with Skydell. No dust, no damage, no regrets. The project manager left us an email every morning to update us on the progress, plans, and to answer our questions. We think the measure of a good provider is not only that things are done right, but, when something fails to meet expectations, to correct mistakes and make good on the contract and quality. Skydell did exactly that when there was a problem with the backsplash installatioin. In the end we could not be more pleased with the entire job and we're enjoying our new, sparkling kitchen every day.

Fantastic! Dave Schoen is a complete perfectionist (as are we) and ensured everything was to our satisfaction every step of the way. He went above & beyond, going out of his way during a very stressful time for us. He even provided samples of suggestions to make our home not only restored, but gave me ideas (within the allocated budget) to bring our recently renovated home back to a level which was/is BETTER than its original beauty. Progress reports were provided constantly along the way & he explained any and all delays or complications with the repairs. Additionally, we are very familiar with contractors in & out of our home during our restoration/renovation last year. Skydell's crew was prompt, professional, respectful of our property, cleaned up as they went along & the most POLITE team I've ever come across! Would strongly recommend using them - We were so pleased to have a "one stop shop" experience enabling us to have a one person "go to" with any and all questions. Isn't that what homeowners really desire? No stress? Faith in honesty? Hands down - no need to look further!

We loved working with Skydell Contracting. Right from the first consultation for our kitchen we knew it would be a good fit. Richard was so genuine and kind and gave us a great design. Kathryn, the admin assistant was excellent about keeping us on track, scheduling appointments that were convenient for us and keeping us informed the whole way through. Our project manager, Henry, was also very communicative. He kept us informed with each step of the way on the progress of our project and was on site most days to oversee the work being done. Skydell uses many sub-contractors, but do not fear- they were all so kind, professional and did great work. 100% we would recommend Skydell for your kitchen renovation.

The workers never showed up when I was told they would be there. The best was 1 hour late, most were 2 hours to not showing up at all. The owner came and listened to what we wanted done. He then produced a contract for the amount I expected, but it did not contain all the work I asked for him to do. This resulted in constant bickering and "Change orders", translation cost increases. I had to fight for 8 weeks for what he told me would be a 4 week job. Next renovation will not be thru the "Change order king". Actually by the end I was calling him a Used Car Salesman. Advice for any renovation, list what you want done in writing, make sure it's in the contract with prices Itemized and watch like a hawk the whole time! Advice for you if your thinking of using Skydell, get someone else. The cost listed includes chimney and other services that the contractor did not do but needed to be done for health and building code requirements.

They did a beautiful job totally renovating my 3 bathrooms a couple of years ago so I didn't hesitate contacting them for my kitchen. I wasn't disappointed; my kitchen looks fabulous and I highly recommend Skydell for and projects you may have.

I had a major leak from my upstairs bathroom to the kitchen. Instead of just replacing damaged cabinets I had Skydell come in and provide a new kitchen. I am so thrilled with my new kitchen in my 100 year old house. Everyone at Skydell was committed to providing not only the best experience, but the best service and quality as well. David, project manager, had to endure my texts at 3:00 in the morning and he was very patient, responsive and helpful in resolving any issue. I had many personal issues going on at the same time that the kitchen was being put back together and the team was so caring and respectful. I would definitely hire the team at Skydell again, and in fact, I am hoping to redo the bathroom that caused all this problem in the first place. Skydell Contractors will be who I am calling. My husband and I recently renovated our family room with new windows, hardwood floor and a stone fireplace. Working with Skydell Contracting, Inc. was a pleasure from our first meeting to the finished product. Richard met with us personally and helped us make some great design decisions all the while being attentive to our own design preferences. He also followed up with an in home meeting halfway through the renovation. His workers were on time, respectful of our home, and our time. A pleasure to work with. We intend to use Skydell’s services again and we would highly recommend them.

We are very pleased with our remolded bathroom. Richard gave us good advice on design, both Steve and David, our project managers, were very responsive to our concerns, and Albert did a neat and careful installation.

Since I had no experience with bathroom renovations I followed many of Mr. Skydell's suggestions. He was absolutely on the mark for esthetics as well as ease of cleaning. After receiving all permits everything progresses steadily. I was very pleased that the workers were polite, professional and cleaned up thoroughly after finishing for the day. I love my new bathrooms and would not hesitate to recommend Skydell Contracting.

The process went very well. They are not the cheapest option but the service and professionalism made it worthwhile.

Skydell Contracting did an excellent job on our screen porch repair and upgrade. Richard Skydell prepared a detailed and fair estimate for a new Screen Tight system, including a new door, painting, etc. The guys who did the project were great. They showed up when they said, kept a neat and tidy work area, and did all the tweaks needed to make everything work out for our quirky 50-year old house. Very professional job. Nice people, too!
