Lasting Construction

All went well. Manny came out to view SOW and provided a quote. Other contractors either never provided a quote or even called back.

I met with Manny for a quote. He was prepared with selections on his tablet so I could choose which products I preferred. His men did a wonderful job- they left my yard cleaner than when they started. Once I did ask them to correct one detail that I had been unclear on, and it was taken care of with no problems. That was really appreciated, since I was the one who gave directions that were unclear. I will be recommending this company to anyone who needs this help. My job was just a small one, but I felt that I was still given high priority and attention.

The crew showed up on time and worked until the job was done, often until late in the afternoon and early into the evening. The crew members were professional and as unexpected problems arose (such as the unanticipted rotting siding) the issues were promptly brought to our attention and identified, and a plan formulated and executed. Manny and his team are folks we would do business with again and are highly recommended.

We had a slow leaky roof for about a year now. We did hired someone tried to patch it last year but it didn't last long, again it leaks after heavy rain or major snow. This June after getting a recommendation, we hired Manny and team to fix the roof. We are very happy with them on this project. From estimate and scheduling, my experience is very pleasant. Manny is very responsive. Email generally responded within a hour. The price is fair. On the day of the work, they show up on time, took out the old / bad shingles, replaced few of the rotted plywood boards, put down the snow and rain guards, replaced all the bad flashing which were not install correctly by the previous roofer, the put on new matching shingles for the area, all with in a day. Since then we had couple heavy rains. so far so good. We will use them again for any roofing and siding projects.

I called Manny, the owner, on Saturday after the incident with the gutter and he took my phone call and informed me they would be out first thing on Monday morning.  Sure enough.  They were here first thing this morning, as promised, and quickly changed out the damaged gutter.  We used Manny's company almost 2-years ago to reroof our house and purchased all new gutters from him, as well.  I was impressed with his kindness and professionalism from the first time he came to our house to give us a quote.  He and his crew were hard workers and they worked fast and neat.  I had another incident regarding my roof that happened from a tree service company and due to what the tree service company had done, I had a leak in my house.  I called Manny for that incident too and he promptly came out and repaired the problem.  I have been very satisfied with this company and will continue to give them my business if they continue to offer this type of service.  Manny and his crew are to be commended in my book! 

Owner very responsive and called back immediately after I left a message on his voicemail.  He stopped by shortly thereafter,
gave me a quote for the diverter for the rainspout ( $ 150 is presently his minimum charge) but because the job was relatively
minor, he was prepared to look at the existing gutter and repair a portion that was a bit saggy.  He did not do the work in
person, but the two employees who showed up to do the job about a week later were knowledgeable and efficient.

After Sandy we had roof and siding damage on our house.  We called a few places and no one would return our call.  I got the number for Manny (owner) from a friend, we called and received a call back the next day.  They came out to look at the damage and provided an estimate immediately.  The price was very good for the amount of work we had to have done and we asked them to start as soon as possible.  Manny worked with us to find siding that would match what we currently have and now you can't even tell it was repaired.  The crew showed up on time and ready to work.  They kept the work area very clean and made sure everything was all all cleaned up before they left.  This is a wonderful company and I have recommended them to several of my co-workers.  I would definitely call them again and will continue to recommend them.

The work was done professionally, the crew was respectful. The job site was
cleaned, and all debris removed after completion.
When it?s time to replace our roof, we will definitely call them back to do the job.

My wife and I have used Lasting Roofing and Gutters, owned/operated by Manny Ramirez, three, maybe four times in the past year, for separate needs and never to fix anything they did the work on.  I have recommended them to friends and relatives without hesitation several times, and that is saying something.  If I am not specifically impressed with an experience, I don't recommend anyone for anything they may do for work; "fine" and "passable" quality isn't worth discussing.  I am pretty familiar with construction and do a lot of home repairs and projects myself, so I am not blind in this review.
The largest job Manny and his crew did for us was redoing (1) our whole roof and gutters (upgraded size and quality to what it should have originally been) after hurricane Sandy.  Keep in mind that he asked right away if it was an emergency repair and that he would make it happen ASAP if need be, even with the ridiculous amount of work which he already had due to the storm. Lucky for us it was not immediately urgent.  I had texted Manny as soon as I saw a leak in a new place, early in the storm, and shingles starting to fly off the roof.
The other jobs they did for us were as follows:
     (2) A skylight / flashing and shingles repair (months before the hurricane) which was the source of a leak we had which damaged our ceiling drywall and new paint 
     (3) the installation/cut-in of two roof vents for separate bathroom exhaust fans, and 
     (4) when we first bought our current house, they were the contractors used by our well respected general home services (painting and carpentry) company to do all of their roofing and gutter jobs, and they replaced a section or gutters at the location of a larger siding, soffit, and fascia repair. This repair is how we came to meet Manny.
Any time I have reached out to Manny, he has been very prompt to respond, be it by phone, email, or text (point 1).  From there, anytime he says he is going to be there, he shows up -and he shows up on time (points 2 and 3).  The estimates provided are very fair (point 4) and the quality of the work quoted is for quality materials, not cheap stuff to save money and to end up doing it all over again later (point 5), which is where a lot of contractors may try to skimp out and profit off of the job. ( Point 6 :) Manny is very professional and polite, not gruff and would surely be able to connect with all kinds of folks, men and women alike.  
He takes pride in his work, and clearly understands that the work he and his team does has to speak for itself on top of any spoken promises, and his results Do speak for themselves.  I strongly recommend the company as well as the man, and I know that if I need anything else done, I will not call anyone else.  If you need what this company does, call them and they will do right by you and your family.
