Was told by woman on the phone that if I didn’t purchase the T.V. from best buy they wouldn’t repair my T.V. But clearly on the listing on angi it says regardless of where it was purchased they would work on it. Maybe angi should tell them to update their website to state that only purchases from best buy can be fixed. Total waste of time talking to the woman on the phone

Called Saturday morning for an appt. They said same day between 1-8pm. I questioned it and they said yes and sent me an order #. Waited all day. I called Sunday morning to see what was going on and they said they left a message for the technician (I think his name was Eric) to call me back. At 12pm I called again and said I had not heard from anyone. The women said I will help you out. I will make an appointment for you for September 1 (8 days later). At that point I went to my nearest Best Buy to go to the Geek Squad. I spoke to someone there they still could not get in touch with the technician. He said he will get in touch with him today (Monday). I said if I do not hear back by 12pm I will consider it that I am not getting a call. He said please give it til 1pm as I sleep late on my day off, but I will call the district manager for Geek Squad when I get up and have him call you. I did not get one call. Geek Squad was the worst experience I have had on Angies List. To prove this is a real post the first 5 numbers of the 8 digit order # are: 60938...

John was excellent. Called in advance, arrived on time, got right to work, bada-bing, bada-bing, he was done. And I learned a couple of things from John as well. I thought the price for what I needed done was high, but I tried to do it myself the last time I bought a TV and it took me 2 days. It took John about 20 minutes. I will always use the Geek Squad and would recommend them highly to all.

We had purchased a total of 6 TVs of which 3 were to be hung on walls. The installation was scheduled and I took off work. I get a call that morning and told that one of the TVs is not in stock and therefore they will NOT deliver or install until all TVs are available. I was very disappointed and irritated as I was told at the store that TVs were in stock and I had wasted a vacation day for an install that did not happen. They reschedule and I will say that the installation was high quality and the person that did the install was terrific. Thus the reason for the high rating. Other then the scheduling mishap we were very pleased by the work that was done and would recommend.

When the item was delivered the delivery man told me that it weight nearly 100 pounds. I specifically asked the Geek Squad to send to men to bring it up from the garage level since we're both women in our 60s and didn't think we'd be of much help! One young man came with an Enterprise van, saying that his partner had called in sick and had the company van at home. We tried to get it up together but that didn't go well. He went back to the van to get a packing strap which wasn't there--in the company van of course. In the end, with my direction and help, we got the box upstairs without injury to it or us. I also had to lend him a Phillips head screwdriver! The young man, Alex, was most pleasant throughout but it took him three hours to put the item together. Plus he left all of the debris--box, Styrofoam, plastic, etc., in the room for me to dispose of. It is my opinion that to charge $130 to assemble the item while not providing the appropriate staff or tools is unreasonable.

Sergio was very professional, pleasant and helpful. It turned out that the cable box we had was not working properly. After I obtained a new box from Optimum, Sergio returned to our home and finished the hook up. Sergio provided excellent service and provided clear instructions on how to use the TV.

Service men called in advance and showed up on time. Very nice people. Did the job well. Only hiccup was the brace I bought did not include all the parts needed. Not the fault of the installers, but disappointed in the Best Buy order staff for not letting me know, and it wasn't in the fine print. Anyway, the guys had an extra part in the truck (which of course I was charged for but they gave me a discount). All in all pleased, would use them again.

It came with the failed sticks on it (dead pixels,) they gave me a credit at Best Buy, so I ended up buying a TV from Best Buy. They were pretty good and very professional. It was somewhat confusing with the older model of the TV. It felt like there was a lot of good usable parts, it’s a shame that it doesn’t pay to fix them.

This is the first time i have used the Geek Squad and i am glad that when i purchased my equipment i purchased the 2-year tech support as well. While the in-home installation was a separate charge, i got a tremendous discount from purchasing the 2-year tech support. The tecnician called to confirm the appointment and when he would arrive. He was there on time and it took about an hour to set up a new router (not purchased at Best Buy), my laptop, printer and install Office software and Web Route security (recommended by the Geek Squad), and give me a crash course on how to use Windows 8 which i understand is being upgraded and abailable on7/29 to be downloaded free. BUT i was advised to wait to down.oad ad anyone knows, you always eait for the kinks to be ironed out (about a month). I was a great experience, there were no questions left unanswered and i have 24/7 tech support. Do not tell yourself you can do the installation if it is something you have not done for a while! The Geek squad techs are awsome!
Description of Work: I purchased a laptop and printer from Best Buy and the tecnician from the Geek Squad performed an in-home installation of hardware and software. Best Buy was also extremely helpful in my choosing the right equipment.

It took two weeks to get an appointment and they were scheduled to arrive between and 8AM and 12PM. No one called to confirm so we called and were told that the time had been changed to between 12PM and 5PM. During the course of the day, we had made several calls to both Best Buy and the Installers number. Everyone was polite, but could provide little useful information about the arrival time.The technician called at about 5:30 to report that he was at the store and there was nothing there in our name. We advised him that we had paid for the items and brought them home two weeks before so that the installer would not have to stop at the store (about 40 minutes away.) They finally arrived at about 7:30PM. Once they arrived, they did a very good job of installing the equipment. They were still at our house after 9PM! They should have a better system of letting customers know if they are going to be that late!.

They unpacked the new TV, set it up, then made sure then set it up with my cable box. Then they connected my devices. Showed me how to operate the various remotes, and finally took the box and other garbage with them when they left.
