John is the best. It is hard to find a good, fair, honest mechanic nowadays, but John definetly is one.
I have had a number of things repaired/replaced on my vehicle by John and his team over the years, as well as regular preventative maintenance done by him on a regular basis.
His prices are fair, and he will take the time to explain everything to you so you understand exactly what is wrong/what needs to be done.
I won't take my vehicle anywhere else.

I would recommend them. They charge $95 an hour in labor, so they are not inexpensive but they are very reliable and they do a good job. They are honest and they also have good mechanics. For an automotive shop, I guess you could say that it is a little kept. They are very nice and they look at the problems immediately. You do not have to wait and wait and wait. They will take care of it.

I asked John to take a look at the car. His price was about $350 less and he completed the repair same day. He was helpful regarding body rust prevention as well. Many thanks!

He promptly and accurately diagnosed and repaired the problems with my car, provided transportation to and from his repair shop, and was professional, polite, and respectful from beginning to end. I began going to Chimney Rock Auto about three years ago when my previous repair shop told me I needed $1,500 worth of work and should not drive the vehicle until they did the work. I looked for references for an honest auto repair shop and several sources recommended Chimney Rock. They determined that I could drive the vehicle to their location for a second opinion and found that all I needed was a starter.
Since then Chimney Rock has done preventive maintenance and all necessary repairs on the vehicle and I have been totally satisfied with the quality of their work and the way they treat all their customers. Their reputation for honesty is well-deserved. The owner, John, is there with a great team of mechanics. They are excellent at diagnosing problems and will offer cost-saving measures when appropriate, like when there are choices of different parts that can be installed other than the original manufacturer parts. Even though Chimney Rock is not located near my home I will continue to go there because of their honesty and reliability.

I had to use Chimney Rock Automotive to fix the axels because another company did a bad job. He only charged me $90. He was honest and I really like them.
