The gentleman who arrived to clean the carpets was exactly on time and was personable and professional. He moved much of the furniture, but not all, and did the work quickly. There were four kitchen-type chairs in the family room that I thought he would move, but he didn't. If I'd have known he wasn't going to move them I would have done it myself. Although I was told it could take three hours to do the three rooms (one hour per room) he completed all three rooms in slightly over one hour. I was pleased that it was done quickly, but it also concerned me that he was in and done so fast. I wasn't sure if it was done too quickly to be thorough.
Regarding price, my original estimate was done over the phone based on my estimate of room size, but before I called I measured the rooms. I was told that I the prices had been recently increased but I was given an estimate based on my measurements and the and quot;oldand quot; price which was lower. Upon completion of work the price seemed higher even though I was told again that it was a reduced price. The gentleman said that he reduced the price even further, but it still seemed higher by about $40 than I was expecting - could have been the difference when adjusting room size - not sure.
I was told it would take several hours to a day to dry, but it took longer than that - the carpets were damp for a couple of days. Once the carpets dried I was surprised that they were and quot;crunchyand quot; to walk on, and though they initially smelled nice it got a little musty after a day or two.
Since I've never had carpets profesionally cleaned before I didn't know if any of this was standard or not.
Although I thought these fellows were professional and very nice, plus my father and brother both used them in the past and liked them, if I have the carpets cleaned again I may elect to try another company for comparison.
