Truly one of the best purchase experiences of my life. My wife and I were overwhelmed with outfitting our new home. Jason Goldanand his team at Barry's are so much more than an appliance and electronics store. They took the time and energy by phone, text, email, and hours live in their store to tailor our purchases to our tastes and the needs of our family of five. We built so much trust with the team that, eventually, once we narrowed our selections, we would ask for their professional opinion and typically go with that choice. They actually took thetime to view our property, research exact specifications and install requirements. The team's product knowledge is simply remarkable! My recommendation: for aa new home construction or remodel, contact Jason Goldan early in the process and share your thoughts and plans with him. He will help you work through everything including giving you ideas for how to plan your appliances withing your kitchen or the layout of your outdoor living space/kitchen. For example, Jason identified an issue for our outdoor living space and our need for an an exhaust system over our grill due to our outdoor living space having three walls. We almost made a collossal mistake. Not only did Jason help us relocate the location of our grill, he made it his mission to identify an exhaust system that would work for our space without ruining our picturesque view from our outdoor living space. Barry's Appliance was not our builder's usual Appliance retailer. We went to that retailer and Felipe we were being steered to a particular line that either had incentives for the salesperson or provided higher margins. At Barry's, it was almost as if Jason was furnishing his own house with his own money. Other details: Amazing product knowledge (helped us avoid mistakes and save money) Highly customer focused (email, text, phone, live) Fair prices (I shopped around) Wide selection (Access to anything)

I now have the best vacuum I have ever owned! In the past I have had everything from central vac system to top of the line Dysons! I now have an awesome Miele Canister Vacuum. Wayne was my sales person and his understanding of the product was right on point. I will be purchasing my next appliance there for sure!

never again. rude. unbelievably nasty, from the first call! not even after issues but even when you just call the store to shop. you can believe it or not. Your dime. worst salesmen and policies ever.

I have to ask because since the first time you called to order your new range hood, everything seemed great. You were very happy with our price and service and you placed the order with us. If you were so unhappy from the beginning, why would you have waited the two weeks it took for your hood to come in? Why wouldn't you have called us and let us know you were so unhappy, so that we could have made it right? Regarding the refund check, that was mailed out the day after delivery, in full, for $125.00. In fact, on March 3rd, 2017 your salesman Jim spoke to you while doing his regular follow up phone calls to ensure everything went well, and you told him that everything was satisfactory. Please let us know if this was an accidental review. If not, please let us know what happened, and I promise you we will do whatever it takes to make it right. I tried researching washing machines before going shopping, but I found too many contradictory reviews and was feeling frustrated and confused. My salesperson at Barry's was Ed McCallick and he simplified the process. He asked what I was looking for and really took the time to explain the benefits of the Speed Queen, namely the machine is built to last with commercial grade components. I also liked that I could select the water level for the wash. Ed was knowledgable and best of all, the whole transaction took about 30 minutes. I have had the washer for over a month and it's exactly what I wanted. Ed is a true Sales Professional and I will certainly buy from him again.

Very well!! Jim ahern, our salesman was extremely easy to work with; he constantly followed through and followed up on our purchase. This is the second time we have purchased from Barry's. We are totally satisfied!! In the recent past, we purchased from Uneeda Appliances in Raritan; stay away!!! Totally unresponsive and unreliable!

They really go the extra mile to provide service. Two other places including the people that originally renovated my kitchen said a wine cooler could not be found that would fit in the old space where the garbage compacter had been. Not only did he find a brand that fit perfectly, he had a worker come to my house to measure the cabinet space since I was overly concerned it would work! I highly recommend them.

Our washing machine began making hideous rattling noises (after only 6 years) and a repairman (independent) came out and told us we had days, weeks, or at best a few months before we had a huge problem that would cost in parts almost what a new machine would cost.  So, we started shopping for a washing machine.  Hit all the big box stores and hardware stores, and felt pretty annoyed at the service interactions - lots of "can't do" and poor product knowledge.  Then we remembered that we'd bought our whole house full of appliances (back six years ago) from a place and we really liked them... but we couldn't remember the name of the store, couldn't find any paperwork to remind us.   But we did remember where they were, so we drove over.  Barry's!
What a total difference from the other places.  We had a salesman connect with us immediately.  He listened to what we wanted, and then walked us around to the machines that fit what we were looking for.  For each one, he explained what he thought were the best features, comparatively, and for each of the brands also talked with us about the next most expensive and next least expensive models.  When we joked about our shopping experiences so far, he said "We'll beat the pants off of those other stores' prices."
When we said we also wanted a pedestal for our old dryer, he hunted down the information but couldn't confirm the model since it was the weekend and the manufacturer was closed.  However, he said he'd get the info Monday and call us, and we wouldn't pay them for that until then, over the phone.
When all was said and done, they didn't beat the pants off the other store prices, but they did turn them into cutoffs... They were less expensive overall, by a bit.  However, the service attention was WAY better.  No hyping extended service plans- they offered, and when we said no, they moved on.  They even filled out the rebate forms for us, stapled receipts to them.  While we were there, we saw some customers come in to see specific salesmen, and if those salesmen were busy, they'd get one of the guys who wasn't busy to help the customer, saying "No reason for you to wait around if we've got people who can help." They pitched in for each other, putting the customer first.
When delivery day came, the two men who showed up got the old washer out and new one in without doing any damage, which is unique these days.  We'd wanted to switch the positions of the washer and dryer so the doors would open away from each other, but they showed us we couldn't - our washing machine pan is plumbed into a drain and it would have been a huge task.  I wasn't very happy about that, but did agree that it just wasn't feasible, so I'd just swap the dryer door myself later.  To my surprise, when they left, they'd done that for me - didn't tell me or make a big deal out of it, but they were paying attention and managed to deliver a nice surprise.
We always prefer to deal with local businesses when we can, when the prices are at least comparable, because we feel like there's better service when there's a personal relationship.  Yeah, there's really a Barry - and we got a nice thank you for not just this purchase but also for the purchases we'd made years ago.  If we'd have remembered Barry's right off, we'd have saved ourselves a few hours of annoyance at the big box stores.  We won't make that mistake again.
