Artisan Tree Care

The work was dome to our satisfaction. Scott Hansen was very professional and easy to work with. He is a little slow at returning calls, but once here the crew was very efficient with their time. We will probably have him back to do some more work as our budget allows. We had a lot of damage from Hurricane Sandy and had received several estimates on getting rid of these very large root balls which were a hazard to our grandchildren playing in the backyard. They brought in an excavator to remove the stumps as they could not be ground down. They also brought in a chipper to dispose of some piles of tree branches, also from Sandy. I requested that they leave the wood chips which they did. We were pleased with the work that was done.

We got bids from several companies for the same work (with prices all over the map). Scott from Artisan was a bit slower responding, but when he came by, I was impressed by his demeanor, and also interested because he is a licensed arborist. His bid again took a few days, but came in substantially lower than our other bids. We decided to go with him. The following week, he called to schedule, and arrived right on time with a crew of three. They worked hard for about 4 hours, with care for the ground-level landscaping. The trees look good and are all cleaned up now.
Scott runs a small operation without full-time office staff, so don't expect callbacks the same day, or bids in 24 hours. But my experience suggests it is worth the wait to hear from this company, whose work was entirely satisfactory at a very attractive price. We'll call on Scott again to care for our trees, especially when real care and an arborist's expertise is needed.

When we first bought our house we had a couple of questionable trees that we felt safer if we cut them down. We got 3 or 4 estimates and one of them was Artisan, who was recommended to us by our realtor. Scott prepared an estimate while we were at work and once we gave him the ok he came and did the job while we were at work This was very convenient that we didn't have to take any time off for this. He did a great job and when we had a couple of trees fall in our backyard during this past Oct snowstorm, we called up Artisan again and even though they were very busy, Scott came out, gave an estimate and completed the job very timely. They do a great job at a great price and I would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs tree work done on their property.

We felt Artisan (Owner=Scott) was the most professional, most knowledgable and most consistent in pricing across all services requested which was ultimately the deciding factor. Owner, Scott Hansen is a certified Arborist. Artisan is fully insured. We felt the quality of the work performed was at the highest level. The work was completed in a timely fashion and according to schedule. I will recommend Artisan to all my neighbors and will definitely use them again when it is time for another pruning or removal.
