New septic system installed in 2015 for a elderly woman. Wanted system to be up to code. Over 20,000.00. Pumped tank out, said it was a 1,000 gallon tank. In estimate of work to be done said 1,000 gallon tank. They hired an engineer for a plan that said 1,000 gallon tank. Go to sell it this year and find out it is not up to code-not a 1,000 gallon tank. Call multiple times and went in person to discuss problem. Never able to speak with the owner. Would not admit responsibility or rectify problem. Would not return calls. Sent an email that they would correct the problem for an additional 5,000.00.

I had no clue I had never had a septic system before but this company never actually did any work and was very belligerent on the phone when I said that the tank was not emptied. He said I did not know what I was talking about and I had to call another company and before he could get there the septic tank started to back up into my home because it was full! The other company agreed with me and had to pump out 1000 gallons and I never received my money back from English. All the other companies I contacted were only 250.00 and this company charged 350.00 and never did any work. the company that I have been with still only charges 250.00 3 years later.

This is my first septic system having moved into a new home from an older home with a public sewer connection, and I was quite pleased. They scheduled my pumping for the same day which impressed me since this was not an emergency. The two guys were friendly and answered my questions about whether or not to use enzymes (unnecessary since everything was working) and when to get it pumped again. They even showed how I could clean the effluent filter myself with a garden hose. Price seemed to be in line with the ballpark figure I'd looked up for a routine pumping of a septic tank. Only problem I had with them that I was told they'd be here between 2:00 & 3:00 in the afternoon and they arrived at 3:30-3:45. Not a big deal for me because I work from home anyway, but could've been a problem if I'd had to be somewhere. This is not going to stop me from using English again, though.

Did a great job. Technician was knowledgable and they called to let me know he would be running 20 mins late. Was in and out in under an hour. Price was competitive and they were able to schedule within a week of the call. Will use again.

The whole process from start to finish went very well on the part of English Septic...it is Mother Nature that caused delays. From the first call and visit to all subsequent calls and visits, each contact person in the area of his/her expertise was friendly, informative, knowledgeable and professional. They answered all our questions and explained each step thoroughly...we never felt rushed. They coordinated all the services including: management, engineers, contractors, tree cutter, well digger, inspections, permits, etc. They always followed through and were on site periodically to check on progress. It is a very daunting and costly experience and we would highly recommend English Septic be the business that takes you through it!

I've used them twice. They were good both times, I haven't had any issues. The guy was helpful. I had a lot of questions and he answered all of them. I asked him about a couple of enzyme products, he was very knowledgeable about that. He was in and out pretty quickly. He got here early and left in about 45 minutes. They are really good and we'll be using them again.

I bought my house 6 years ago and the septic system had just been replaced. I grew up in the city and always had public sewer so the septic tank maintenance was foreign. I started to research what is supposed to be done and saw a recommendation for emptying the tank every few years depending on the number of individuals living in the house. I called English today and spoke to an extremely nice lady about getting the tank emptied. She told me she could have someone at my house in about an hour. When the technician arrived, he found the tank opening (I was no help in locating it). He explained how the system runs through my yard since I was unaware. It took less than 30 minutes and he took a check for the work. I was told to have it emptied every two years from now on. I works out to about $11/month for budgeting purposes, very manageable. I am very happy with the service from the company.

They took my call on a Sunday, and came over first thing Monday morning to do the job. We suspected that the full septic tank was the cause of a drain backup we were suffering with. When they arrived, they confirmed that it was full (and overdue for pumping) but that it wasn't the cause of the drain backup. (We hired a plumber to fix the drain problem and put a note on the calendar to make sure we get the tank pumped again before it becomes "overdue.")
I've been using English for 8 years; they've earned my loyalty because this good report is a very typical experience.

The person that came out to do the inspection was very professional and very informative. He explained everything in detail regarding the septic systems condition and operation. I also spoke with the owner, Paul, afterwards because of issues with the septic and he was available after hours and was very professional in his response and helping me understand my options.

Service provider was called upon after I gave up on the first company I hired to perform my first pump out of my house I purchased back in Oct. After my septic inspection I was told I'd need to make some minor repairs to extend the longevity of my current system which is towards the end of its life. Paul the owner was quick to email over a detailed estimate for the work needing to be performed and I scheduled the service with him that day. Two days later, one of his tech's Phil was out to property to perform the installation. He was done within the hour and explained how to wash out the filter properly. English Sewage was a pleasure to deal with and I'll certainly be calling them next time work is needed.
