THE INSPECTION GUYS

Description of Work: 12/01/2011 -- Update After the sale of our home fell through based on the report by The Inspection Guys, we ended up selling our home within a couple of weeks. As I mentioned before I hired a licensed inspector with 35 years of experience and his inspection report was much less severe. The current buyers inspector also came back with a report that was clean. I showed the inspector I hired and the buyers inspector the report created by The Inspection Guys and they agreed with my hunch, the report was "doctored" to allow the buyers to walk away from the contract. they both agreed that this type of report gives inspectors a bad name. -End Update- Inspector was the buyer’s inspector. His report contained major inaccuracies unprofessional false assumptions and extensive incorrect information altogether. His report allegedly caused the sale of my home to fall through based on inaccurate information. Basically his report depicted my home as something that should be considered condemned. It’s my opinion that either the buyers wanted out and asked the inspector to doctor the report or the inspector lacked the experience necessary to conduct an accurate inspection. His inspection portrayed my house as if it was being held together with rubber bands. In turn I hired a licensed contractor to provide their professional assessment of the “major” findings on this inspectors report and my contractors were not able to agree with buyers inspector. Heaven help the next sellers home this inspector visits. However, kudos to him, in this slow real estate market this type of heavy handed inspection report will keep his pockets full of money.
