Mr. Gooley and his apprentice exceeded expectations in every way.   Our home is over 50 years old.  The work was complicated, dirty, and naturally intrusive to our personal schedules and space.  He kept us informed on every step as well as advised us on how to work with the power company and township construction department.  
When relocating the electric service line to underground, he dealt professionally with a visibly agitated neighbor who insisted the conduit (plastic pipe) not be placed on "their side" of the utility pole.  Mr Gooley, after being repeatedly harassed, calmly addressed their concerns by explained he was following power company guidelines.  The power company supervisor confirmed the work was proper.  The town electrical inspector complimented Mr Gooley on the quality of his work.
He is neat, efficient and curteous. 

Overall our experience with this electrician was positive.  He was retained as a subcontractor through a g.c.  He was very helpful in planning the positioning of light fixtures for the remodel of our living room, kitchen and den.  He did work beyond the scope he was contracted to do through the general contractor.  For these additional items, he provided a quote and did exactly what was spelled out.  He was paid in full for the additional items in a timely manner and we have not had a problem with any of the work he did.
The issue we have with the electrician came into play about a year after the work was finished.  During the renovation, we asked him to run lines for under cabinet lighting in the kitchen.  When we were finally ready to move ahead with adding the fixtures, we contacted the electrician and he did not return calls or messages.  When we connected with someone in his office, we were informed that he refused to deal with us due to issues we had with the general contractor.  We submitted a letter to his office indicating we were simply looking for information regarding how he wired the cabinets and informed him that as far as we were concerned, we and the general contractor had finalized our relationship.  We have yet to receive a reply to that letter.
Mr. Gooley seems to be a competent electrician and we have no issue with his skills or work.  If you choose to use his services, please know that down the line he may not wish to deal with you due to misplaced loyalty.

It went perfectly in every way.

He is prompt and showed up when he was suppose to.  We found his pricing very fair.  Overall he absolutely did what he said he was going to do at the first price he bid.  There were no arguments or nonsense.  He went above and beyond our expectations.  We were very satisfied with his service. Patrick did a great job explaining his services to us and carried a great sense of humor.
