The renovations are slowly falling apart. This morning a tile fell off the bathroom wall. THere's an 1/8 inch draft on the top of the French doors in the back. The police said the reason why my home alarm went off twice in one week is that the front door is loose. The toilet was not properly seated or sealed - Mr Fede said this was normal maintenance when I reported this to him in 9/2013, three months after I moved in. Mr Fede also said he would not fix the bathroom shower where the hot water comes out on the wrong side. The crown molding is coming down and a recessed light in the kitchen is also coming down. There were additional problems that were uncovered after closing - light switches blowing, pipe disconnecting and flooding kitchen, electrical outlets blowing (these were fixed by Mr. Fede et al). The towel racks and toilet paper holders fell out of the wall just by touching them. I corrected these by using the proper screws. An electrician I hired inspected the new electrical fixtures and said that they weren't up to code and that painters tape had been used to connect the wires. I've owned 4 houses before and never had any of these problems - one was thirty years old when I bought it, the others were new. I believe Mr. Fede's thinking that these are normal maintenance issues is because anyone who buys a renovated house from him always has these problems. He has other houses on the market through Crossroads Realty and I just want to stop anyone else from being conned and robbed by Peter Fede/Life-Line Construction.
