-Called for an estimate to upgrade furnace to a 2-stage system before winter. Knowing my old one was on the fritz. Quote $4,800 for GE -In Feb furnace needs a fix and instead of fix I ask if price was good for the GE 2-stage and if I can upgrade system. All good. Went with upgrade. -Sales Rep says (before install) that we have to switch to Carrier. I say no prob please make sure specs are the same and send me quote with model so I can check. Nothing gets sent. -Day later they show up for install with Carrier unit. I don’t have quote or model number. -After installation I get invoice to sign off on. -Look up model number on invoice and it’s a SINGLE stage. Not what we wanted and not comparable to the GE. Also usually cheaper. -I text my rep and say give me a credit or just swap it out. No biggie. I am told their mistake and they will be out next week. This is in Feb. -2 weeks go by and I ask when the swap will happen. Told another week. -2 more weeks go by and I ask when swap will happen. Told another week. -Stop by location on Mantoloking Rd to verbalize disappointment and was told to leave number for manager. STILL NO CALL. At this point my message is go pound sand. Damage is done. I’m p*****. Don’t come calling when you see bad reviews posted EVERYWHERE.

They were professional, knowledgeable, and kept things clean as they went. They got the job done in less than a day and that was about a year ago and everything is still running great. 10/10 would recommend before anyone else

BUYER BEWARE. We had Eastern Shore install a furnace and cooling unit in May 2012. The issues began when John, the owner, delayed our manufacture's refund by failing to properly process that paperwork. We also never received any documentation regarding permits, which he was supposed to handle as per our agreement. FYI, it took two years, and many (many) reminder phone calls to John to finally prompt him to process our rebate. But those two issues pale in comparison to our main problem with Eastern Shore. Starting in winter of 2012, we have had numerous reoccurring issues with the furnace. From pressure switch breaking to the ignition function failing, the furnace stopped working every winter between 2012 and 2018, when we finally were able to afford to purchase a new furnace. Eastern Shore sent the same technician for years as we were still under warranty. This technician was always wonderful to us. He came multiple times per winter each year, eventually coming on his own time. He went so far as to teach us to tap on the pressure switch with a screw driver to (hopefully) get the unit to start when it would fail to ignite. We would often go days without heat due to this ongoing issue. Now that the particular technician is no longer with Easter Shore, we were left with no other option but to deal with John, who from h start has always been extremely neglectful and belligerent. During the winter of 2017/2018, all communication broke down when John, who decided to ignore the problem rather than admit he oversold us a unit and that's why the furnace continually broke. This resulted in our desperate frustration as we did not have the money to replace the furnace. In April 2018, we were finally able to afford to get a second opinion and found out the unit was simply too big for our 1500 square foot home. The unit pumped out 92,000 BTUs. per hour. Ideally, a furnace should have an output of 50,000 - 55,000 BTUs per house for a house our size. John didn’t want to take responsibility for overselling us a unit that was a bad fit for our square footage and ducts. After dealing with this problem since 2012, we were finally able to afford to replace the unit. During the install of our new furnace, we were told there were multiple violations in how Eastern Shore installed the furnace. We now have a smaller unit that is the proper fit for our home. It is installed properly, and up to NJ’s codes. PLEASE use CAUTION when considering using EASTERN SHORE. I wish someone would have left a post like ours. It would have saved us years of stress and money. BUYER BEWARE. We have reported Eastern Shore to the Better Business Bureau.
