Dura Plex installed a high-quantity door and storm door for me. I used them many years ago when their Dad installed a storm door for me, and now his Sons run the company. Excellent!! Owner was friendly and honest. Installer was awesome and a perfectionist. The door handle was scratched and they reordered and supposed to replace. Back door has a tiny gap. They are supposed to come back and add extra insert. Front door was gently swinging back and installer came back today and fixed it. He also noticed that we needed extra caulk on storm door and added it after he noticed issue without us noticing and complaining. Very happy overall! I wish I took a before picture to show how bad it was before.

The team was great. They worked well together to remove my second floor 70 year old picture window. They refortified the sill and installed the new window. The other 5 windows went smoothly. A very nice and professional group of installers. Very positive experiences.

Everything went as scheduled from the ordering to install. Installer and helper arrived on time. It was a 2 day job. First day they worked 7 hours straight with no break and it was hot out. Returned second day to complete. It was brutally hot in the sun & they just kept going. After a few hours I made them lunch just so they would get a break from the blistering heat, Several hours later....a job well- done, including some trim work around the door and repairing, that is replacing two screens that had tiny holes. Very satisfied

They had to come back and fixed some stuff. If they would have done the same type of work the first time that they did the second time, I would have given them an "A".

They called me 2 days prior to say they had another appointment 50 miles away before my appointment so they were going to be late. I hate a 1PM appointment and we agreed to change it to a 1:30PM appointment. At around 1:15 the guy called to say he is just leaving his previous appointment and he will be there in 45 minutes. At 2PM the guy calls and tell me he is at another street by the same name as mine (only he is at a street and mine is a court) but he is in my town and will be there soon. I looked up this street on google and it did not exist in my town but it existed 25 miles away which explains why by 2:35PM he was still not there. So he LIED! I decided that I had waited long enough and I had to get on with my day so I left a note on my front door and left. I have no idea when he actually got there but he left a card stuck in my door with a quote for 2 windows. A quote for which 2 windows? What kind of windows? What does it include? The whole thing aggravated me and I would never use this company because they lied. And if they lied about this, what else are they lying about?

The work was done well, and took only 2.5 days despite it being in the 90's temperature wise. There were a couple defects in a few windows that the company will take care of no problem. I was happy with the service, and we love the windows.

I would love to give them all 5 stars but their lack of communication, unreliable punctuality, and attention to detail resulted in me having to give an average rating. When I had my windows replaced, a snow storm was foretasted. Prior to the storm I noticed gaps between the new window frame and my old wood siding that looked to be a leakage hazard. When I asked about it, I was assured there would be no problem and I should not worry about it. Well 2 days later and 11 inches of snow, I was tearing up the dry wall under two of the three windows that had snow melting down the gaps soaking the wood frame, insulation and floor. When I texted my POC at the company, it was never answered and a week later someone finally showed up to address the situation. Yes, I get it, the snow delayed work but to go a week with NO communication or a "Hey, we will fix this, don't worry" is unacceptable. Then, when the rear trim was stripped and replaced with a more modern look, I noticed the lack of insulation that was present prior to them putting up the soffit. I addressed my concern and even offered to buy a more expensive insulation to stuff in the gap as my water pipes were at risk of freezing. I was told it would get handled. However, after a night where temperatures dropped below 10* I was outside ripping down soffit to see no extra insulation was added and my kitchen and bathroom pipes frozen. I contacted them and instructed them to replace the soffit after I properly insulated the pipes and added 2 layers of insulation around the pipes. I then requested 2 access panels to be installed in the two areas were the pipes froze, which they did at no additional cost. Next came an archway that was flanked by two white vinyl corners that look magnificent but lacked completion as the white did not continue through the arch; just the sides. We requested something be done as it just did not look right. At no additional cost, they found a vinyl arch. However, when they showed up to install it, it was not painted and they suggest I paint it myself after they install it. Yeah, paint something white over my $10,000 brand new siding when you could have easily painted it prior to coming weeks later to install. When they returned a week alter to install it after painting it looked amazing. All that was left was to reattach the gutters that were taken down prior to the install. A few are hung, the others are still sitting on the ground beside the house. The ones that are hung look as if my unmechanically inclined hands did it. If I wanted them to look crooked and leak at every join I would've down them myself. All in all the finished project, when it finally is finished, made our fixer upper turn into a head turner. Several neighbors have showed their amazement how different it looks and for information who did it. We have proudly said DuraPlex because of the work that was done and the short time it took to do the actual job. Take special interest in your communication lines and you would have gotten 5 stars across the board.

It went wonderful, but in the end the price was higher than a competitor.

We found this vendor through a local home improvement magazine. We then checked them out on Angie's LIst.  The next time we were in Brick NJ we stopped in to see them. The salesperson was wonderful. He really knows his stuff. And the product seemed to be of great quality. We particularly liked the insulation in the frame of the window sample. They offered upgrades to higher quality windows if we preferred. He came to the house on time to measure, and the quote was received when he said it would be.

But in the end the price was the determining factor, unfortunately. Had it not been the case, we would gladly have used them.

Dura Plex was one of three contractors we looked at for this job. All three had good Angie List rating and good BBB rating. The thing that sold us was the fact that we were able to do a walk through of a neighbor who raved about their work. You can see they did a great job on the roof and siding from outside of their home. On price they were the lowest offer as well while offering a thicker vinyl siding than the other companies (.46 inch Charter Oak Vinyl Siding). The fact that their work is tax exempt certainly help with this and they parked a truck they owned in our driveway to carry away debris instead of renting a dumpter.
We are completely pleased with Dura plex as a company for siding and windows. They were easy to do business with and work exceeded our expectations. We felt that really do care about their reputation and the work. When they encounter unexpected issues such as rotted wood in a large window box they responded by sending the owner and salesman to check it out and give us a quote for the additional work. Some of the screens on the windows where damaged during the sliding job. Within a day their guy was there- took the screens and replace them at no cost.
They did there best to hold to schedules despite several snow storms that make the work difficult. When we discovered their hammering was triggering lights and furnace to drop power in our home they worked around it till we could get an electrician to fix the problem.
Their sales representative John Fiduccia was easy to reach by phone, text and email as issues came up. Extremely helpful in our selecting colors for siding, trim, etc. When we were still debate what thinks would look like together he made a special trip with actual sample of siding and trim so we can see what they look like under day light to insure we would be satisfied with the finished product.
