AMK CONTRACTING

We contacted several companies and interviewed this one and another, who could meet with us within two weeks. He came to the meeting prepared with samples and brochures. His estimate came in higher than the other. But he reviewed the other and explained some of the differences such as higher quality materials. He offered to use the other type, but we went with his recommendation. He negotiated with his supplier to lower some of the material prices. Although still somewhat higher we chose him. The other contractor did not provide samples and references despite several reminders. This contractor even arranged for us to see a similar deck that he had recently completed. Once hired, he filed the permit application quickly. When the township questioned information, he took more measurements and kept on top of their requirements. Once he and his crew began the work they worked everyday that the weather and other factors allowed. His crew even worked on a day of the holiday weekend. When it came time to work on my special need items, he scheduled the work according to my schedule and made sure my needs were met. He kept us updated through out the job. The finished deck is beautiful.
