I was walking out of Frank Pepe's Pizza in Danbury Connecticut carrying a large pie when a gentleman approached me asking "is that your green Miata"? I said yes and he then informed me that he had just accidentally backed into it causing some damage to the backend. He then went on to offer to pay for the damages in cash and after I got an estimate from my local body shop, I forwarded it to him and he paid for it in full within one week (over $2000). When the average property owner agrees to a project with a contractor he or she is normally unable to be present on-site inspecting the work as it progresses. Therefore some contractors may be tempted to cut corners which results in an overall diminution in the quality of work for which the property owner is paying. In the end, the property owner must trust the contractor to complete the job in a timely manner to the specifications in the contract. This random contact that I had with Mr. Dan Steeves of Universal Renovations of Western Connecticut would lead me to believe that Mr. Steeves is someone to whom I would entrust my project. His integrity would count for far more in choosing a contractor than simply the bid price.

Excellent.  Any issue with sub contractors were resolved quickly and satisfactorily by this general contractor at no additional charge.

Brian has worked on my house on several occasions. He has stained our deck, rebuilt our balcony railings, repaired drywall, etc. I have always been extremely pleased with his work. We have moved many times, and used many contractors/handymen over the years. Brian is quite simply and quot;THE BESTand quot; contractor/handyman we have ever hired. He definitely gets my recommendation!!!!.

Brian has done many jobs for me. He replaced damaged moldings and woodwork, Can't tell redo from original. Cement work was done at another distant location for me. Storm door was replaced. I call Brian for any work that I need done for my home.
