Furniture constructed today does not usually provide the strength, durability or craftsmanship of those pieces designed years ago. Those pieces of furniture you may have outgrown or just don't seem to match you decor anymore can now be updated to add some flare into your home. I have an unwavering philosophy of caring for all furniture. I truly believe no old, sad or broken down piece be left behind. Most times I do my best to preserve as much of the original piece as possible but sometimes that option will not work, so we then need to look at redesigning and possibly repurposing. I believe family heirlooms are important to many of us because they hold so many memories and therefor create a sentimental attachment. So, when they look like they have seen their last days I would rather repair, refinish, repurpose or even completely update them instead of these treasures taking a trip to the nearest landfill. Breathing new life into furniture is what I truly enjoying doing every day!
