Other than taking awhile to respond to our initial phone call (over a week, we were considering calling someone else) overall experience was very good.

Chris seemed to be the only electrician who knew how to install a generator interlock kit so that I could safely power the whole house from my generator.
He knew exactly what to do, found the parts on line, and did what I asked him to. All other electricians I contacted (before using Angie's List) seemed confused and said it couldn't be done.
The only negative was that there was a long interval between his first look at my panel and actually doing the work. Perhaps I should have pressed him a bit more.
But overall, he definitely deserves an A

Chris showed up on time for the estimate and the work on the day scheduled. He was very polite and professional. He did the work quite well even when he ran into a previous small problem ( which he fixed correctly). Everything was done to my satisfaction and we are going to use Chris again to do more work.
I am quite happy with Chris.

First of all, Chis called back very quickly. He was able to do the work right in the time frame we needed and his pricing was excellent. Add the fact that he is ultra-professional and has a great sense of humor. We definitely will use him again if we need work done.

I REALLY lucked out. I called Chris who returned my call very quickly. When I told him my problem he told me he was booked for the next week but that possibly he could come out that day and take a look. Well, he not only took a look but fixed it! It was a tricky job and could have resulted in having to break a number of holes in our kitchen ceiling but he kept at it and managed to avoid having to do that. WOW! Super guy, super clean and neat. Definitely your man if you need a great electrician.

Chris returned my phone call promptly, and we agreed on a time to come out and look at what I needed done and give me an estimate. Since I was without a kitchen light, he was very cooperative in working around my schedule and came the next day I was not working.
He also looked at the switches I had installed to insure they were ok for the fixtures and even supplied light bulbs! I appreciated the fact that he came in with a drop cloth and there was absolutely no mess left at all. We talked about other work I would like done and I appreciated his honesty in telling me some difficulties that might incur more expense and that some of it wasn't really his expertise.
I had been using another electrician but he had not called me back and lately his work had not been of the same quality. I was very apprehensive having to find someone new but was very pleased with the outcome.

Chris is one of those guys you feel comfortable with. He is honest and works hard. He always returns calls. We found Chris when we had our kitchen done and boy what a great find. He is excellent!

One of the good guys! I wired a generator to my electric panel and did something wrong, so Chris came to fix my handy-man (or not so handy) work. Super honest, great prices, responded fast. Don't think twice - give him a call.

Chris Hayes was amazing. During an incredibly crazy time (after a MAJOR hurricane that created a huge demand for electricians throughout the state) Chris not only responded to my voice mail inquiry for an electrician really fast (less than an hour), he showed up at the house within an hour to assess the situation. He then returned the next day and completed the job in a few short hours. We felt fortunate to have found an electrician who responded so quickly. The work he did had to be completed before the utility company came to reconnect the electrical service to the house. Fantastic! So happy!

Chris was responsive and prompt in returning my call and setting up an appointment for giving an estimate and doing the job.
I had to get the job done by a certain date since we were having company. Chris factored that in and made sure he got in in time.
Chris is personable and did the job thoroughly with attention to detail. He appears to be particular about the quality of work he does. He also was good about cleaning up after the job was done.
I will be calling him back for other work around the house for sure.

I can't say enough good things about Chris! He took my call personally and was able to give me an appointment on short notice. He arrived on time and performed a thorough inspection of electrical work done by prior owners. They had work done without a permit so I now needed to get the permits. He explained what he was doing and what he was looking for and was able to correct some issues on the spot. He also was very helpful filling out the required paperwork.
I would definitely use Chris again and would recommend him without hesitation.

After not hearing back from 2 other electricians, I called Chris and he answered the phone himself and said he could come early the next morning (a Saturday). He diagnosed and solved the problem quickly and answered all our questions.

Excellent! Chris was very punctual, gave exact estimates and was able to perform all activities on our schedule (evenings and weekends). He is extremely professional, very considerate of your space and does a thorough job all the time being very polite.

I called Hayes Electric, after finding him on Angie's List, because he was situated nearby (10 miles) and had some good reports on the system. After a pleasant conversation, in which he gave me some advice for how I might fix the more egregious problems myself, I took another look at the job and decided I just didn't want to get into such a complex rewiring job. So I called back and scheduled with him. We found a mutually agreeable date about a week out, and chose that. He would have been willing to come earlier, but my schedule got in the way. I was, quite frankly, amazed at the low cost of the job and how rapidly he was able to schedule it and get it done. He was easy to deal with, punctual, and clearly very capable at his work. I would definitely use him again, and I'm happy to recommend him to others.
