+ -1 moreAt first things were moving along fine, but when I became the low job on the totem pole, he was too overextended to finish the work. We met, he sent an estimate, I opted out of a few unnecessary items, and we agreed on a start date. He took measurements and referred me to places to purchase the materials. I purchased the cabinets and scheduled the measuring and delivery. I purchased the tile and brought it home on my own. I purchased the counter top and scheduled the template and delivery dates based on his work schedule. I purchased the sink and faucet and brought them home on my own. I purchased the appliances and arranged the delivery based on his work schedule. I was left without a temporary sink and counter top as promised. GFI outlets were not installed next to my sink, and the microwave was installed improperly requiring me to call an electrician to set it up on a proper circuit. The dishwasher wire was left live and exposed, the recessed lights were unfinished. Very unreliable!
Description of Work: This was a condo kitchen remodel (swapping everything out for new). Removing the old cabinets, appliances, counter tops, floor, and installing new cabinets, counter top, sink, faucet, dishwasher, microwave and stove. The walls were to be painted, the kitchen, front entryway floors, and back splash were to be tiled and recessed lights were to be installed. The floor was tiled, the walls painted, the cabinets, stove and microwave installed. He assured me that he would install a temporary sink and counter top while I waited for the counter top delivery, but that never happened. The electrical work was done improperly and I had to hire an electrician on my own to correct his mistakes. Numerous phone messages to his work and cell phone about the unfinished and improper work went unanswered for three weeks and I was given no assurance that he was finishing the job.
