we've hired Charlie's Tree Service again. Charlie's Tree Service returns phone calls promptly, shows up at job sites on time, and does excellent work...at an affordable price. Cleanup after the job was top rate. If we have another tree that needs attention, we'll call Charlie's Tree Service. And, we recommend them to any homeowner who needs a tough job done by professionals.

He returned calls promptly and stuck to our appointment. He provided a great price for 1 large tree and 5 small trees. He did a great job with the work and clean up.

Unreliable. I just don't get it with some contractors. They return a call, sound sincere, tell you they can get to you the next afternoon and will call when on the way. Instead, they never call and never show up even though you make it a point to give up your weekend day to make sure you are around when they (don't) call. Apparently, Charlie has changed his business practices since his earlier reviews given here. Hit by the storm Sandy, we ended up with a very large 20+ yr old tree laying across the front of our house. Given the scope of damage throughout our area, I called several trees services in the area off of Angies list and left messages for many. Charlie called me back that same evening. Sounded very sincere and said he had another job the next morning nearby us and could come over in the afternoon to take away the tree here. Said he would call just as soon as the other job was done to confirm that his crew could make it over. Stayed at the house awaiting his call which never came. And, unlike a couple of days ago when I was able to at least leave him a phone message, both of his numbers indicate that his message box is full and no further messages can be left for him....one has to wonder how many others left messages already for him wondering where he and his crew are. I understand there is more than enough work for these, and other, tree services in the area at the moment given the damage Sandy left behind. I get that. BUT, to promise that he and his crew can be there the next day and not only not show up, but fail to call or leave anyway to contact him is pretty pathetic under the circumstances people find themselves in at the moment in this region. Even more surprising, I told him we didn't need an estimate, we were just looking for him and his crew to come over and do the work...meaning no unnecessary trip for him and payment sooner rather than later. Under these circumstances, we have no basis to recommend Charlie's service to anyone and, if asked, would tell people to look elsewhere.

I have had excellent results. He doesn't take you for a lot of money either. He's resonable compared to other companies around here. He charges half the price.

In response to my call for an estimate, Charlie came over to assess the tree we felt needed to be removed. He provided an estimate lower than we were expecting, and said that the work would be done in approximately two weeks, but might be later because Hurricane Irene was impending, which would slow down their schedule. They actually came four weeks later, which we felt was reasonable given the circumstances. The workers arrived at the time specified, and the work was done very cleanly and professionally--not a trace of debris left. Charlie and his crew are polite and professional--we would definitely call them again if we need further tree service.

They are excellent. They show up when I call them and give me a price. They stick to the date they say they are coming. They charged $750 to trim a couple of trees. I would rate them highly and would definitely use them again in the future if necessary.

He was honest and punctual. He did an excellent job and I was extremely satisfied. I liked his services and will use the same in future.

He is honest, polite and a nice guy. He works quickly and does a very nice job. He is reasonable and out of all the tree services he is the best.
