SERVPRO OF EAST CENTRAL MORRIS COUNTY REVIEW: I called Servpro of East Central Morris County for a flood in my home in September, 2014. They responded quickly and started removing wet carpets etc from my home. I questioned certain areas of wet sheet rock that were soaked in my home such as the utility room but they continued to take down the other walls/ceilings and kept telling me they had to speak to the insurance company before removing. First of all I called them and felt they were working for me, they didn't have to call the insurance company to remove everything else they took down. But I know now that they just didn't want to deal with the mechanical components (HVAC) when they could make money more easily, and little did I know they were also concerned about "not getting paid from the insurance company", which is a joke because the other insurance company paid also. They never did anything in that utility room which is where all the water came down, never opened the walls to dry it either. Now I have mold growing in that room and inside my HVAC unit, two and a half months later and still out of my home the insurance company finally decided to hire an engineering company to come and see the mold, thanks to Servpro I just received a mold report which confirmed mold in my utility room and now the engineer has to come back thanks to Traveler Insurance to perform another mold report on my HVAC unit. Had Servpro (did what they charged and were paid to do) removed the sheet rock in that utility room back in September this would have been completed by now. They were worried about getting paid, meanwhile they sent the bill to my insurance company and they didn't question any demo work at all. They over charged and double bill because it?s an insurance claim and the insurance company says they can, believe me the rates are ridiculous so make sure you have enough insurance money to cover it. Bottom line is they don't just work for you. They got their money and I am out of my home 2 and a half months already and still no decisions on removing HVAC unit. In my laundry area they claim they took down the ceiling but they only took down the first layers of sheet rock as there are 3 in my ceiling with a hat track. That area has duct work in it as well so they just removed the sheet rock up to the duct work but the other layer in the ceiling has mold on it also which now has to come down. I have already started installing insulation and sheet rock and now more ceilings have to come down. Christmas is coming and it looks like I will be in a hotel room alone while they will all be having holidays in their home. I would never use them again. I didn't know they are a Franchise. There are other Servpro's that are better, just not this one.
