DUFFY'S RUG CLEANING

When I needed a sofa cleaned, I asked the company I use to clean my apartment for a recommendation. They spoke very highly of Duffy's, so I gave them a call. They quoted me a reasonable rate and were available to come out at a time that worked for me, so I set it up. When the gentleman arrived, he got down on his knees and made a very close, thorough inspection of my couch, which is white and has been through several moves. He then told me that he couldn't move forward with cleaning the couch without letting me know that the stains I was concerned with aren't going to completely come out no matter what he or anyone does (he went on to explain that it has to do with this particular material and the particular type of stain, and that he's been doing this for 20+ years). Given such an honest assessment, it became clear to me that my money would be better spent slipcovering the couch than cleaning it. He agreed and went to leave without even hinting at payment for the visit (of course, I tipped him well). So I'm posting because although the couch wasn't actually cleaned, I was tremendously impressed with their honesty and professionalism. I've heard lots of stories of friends spending a lot of money on upholstery cleaning that didn't make much of a difference.

THEY ARE VERY RESPONSIVE. I ALSO THOUGHT THAT THEY WORKED VERY QUICKLY. THEY DO A REALLY GOOD JOB. THEY GOT ALL THE STAINS OUT AND I AM HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS. I THINK THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB.
