Great! They did a great job, even serviced the opener. Did it all quickly, and while they offered some recommendations on other next steps, I did not feel any sort of "hard sell" on doing follow-up work.

They installed new automatic doors 15 years ago. They have replaced units that failed. They have taken my calls and diagnosed problems over the phone that fixed the door issue without a visit.

I called them late at night and left a voice mail message. The next day, first thing in the morning I got a call back from the owner . They came out and gave us an estimate to repair it or to get a new garage door. We went with the repair. They came the next morning and my husband couldn't get over the beautiful job they did. When I got to work, I found a voice mail message from my husband that the door was fixed and he was amazed how cordial and professional they were. My husband doesn't give compliments often, but he just couldn't get over how fast, efficient, and professional they were. Highly recommend them.

Excellent. Skillman replaced both doors several years ago. I do not recall the price, but it was reasonable. Since then, I have had them come to re-adjust electric beams on the door, and a small repair. Work was very well done. They are always responsive. It is hard to find a business these days that is as good to customers as Skillman. When they were here recently for the small repair, I realized I should write a recommendation for the benefit of Angies List members. I have never written a recommendation on Angies List. I highly recommend Skillman.

I got 3 different estimates for this job. The first estimate, the contractor had no hand outs, no written estimate and no details really  (and needed payment in full upfront). His only sales materials were  just a single brochure.   The second estimate came from Bill Sr. of Skillman.  He was extremely professional, and patiently explained all the options. He had samples of doors with windows which he took out of his truck to show me. He had brochures and sent a professional estimate in an email attachment. He took partial payment up front. The third estimate came from a guy who tried to talk me out of what i wanted to purchase and point me to a cheaper product.  Skillman was the obvious choice.   He sent over a picture of the specs BEFORE the work and i was able to catch that he had me scheduled for a different window configuration than i had imagined. This pre-step allowed us to get the window configuration i wanted BEFORE the doors were ordered. I find many times with contractors that their vision of what you want is not what  is in your vision. This simple procedure avoided disappointment. Bill also explained that he pays his guys  by the hour and not by the door so the installer will not be rushed . A month later the installer arrived and he was extremely polite and careful. He cleaned up after his work and came back the next day to make an adjustment.  My only complaint is that I asked him to put the emergency lock on the left door, and he installed it on the right door. The toughest part of changing something on your house is the communication aspect. It was no big deal but next time I would have written this part out as I was not home during that last part of the install.   Lastly , Bill sr called to ask if everything was ok within one week.   
Fantastic! The doors look nice and function well and we are happy with the service, especially considering that this was a large expense.

the work was fine

my complaint is I was told a certain date and time initially. I was told same day that afternoon.  I guess to make you feel you are going to have your problem solved. and agree to use their services.[ I am a auto repair shop with a overhead door that can't be opened and a customers car behind it that I can't get it back to the owner]

you'll be their later today great [not happening]. phone call late afternoon can't be their till tomorrow. now it's to late to expect another company to come out and I feel had no other choice but to wait. luckily the car owner was understanding

Received proposals from several providers. Skillman doors was the most accurate and thorough. While it was the most expensive bid, that included R19 doors along with belt drive Liftmaster openers and door remote. After review of the butress, we agreed that 4 feet each should be replaced due to previous termite damage.
Estimate was that doors would take 4 weeks to receive, but they arrived in two weeks. Scheduled installation within two days. Jose came on-site promptly @ the agreed time and started work right away. Work was completed in that day and all instructions / programming relayed to us.
Jose was extremely professional and friendly.
We are very statisfied with the work done and while agree investment was high, these doors should last for a long time.

The initial meeting was very informative. The salesman knew everything about the doors, hardware, etc. Had all the information necessary to make a decision. We reviewed verything, obtained other companies' estimates and viewed their products, and determined Skillman is the best. The installer was experienced and everything works properly. He was also so nice as to program the doors in my car for remote operation. Very positive experience!

Did a very nice job, workman was very polite and discussed all options. came when they said they would, price was not the cheapest, but not most expensive either. overall we are very happy.

Overall experience was good. The door is excellent, and very light for a wooden door. Job was done in half a day.
