Great...outstanding craftsmanship...nice guy

He was excellent and I plan on taking everything back to him again. I walk past his shop everyday and I can see a chair come in looking terrible and then a week later, you'll pass by and you see that same chair and he finished it and it is clearly waiting for somebody to come pick it up and it looks fantastic. He could have sold me on something that was way more expensive but instead he said, no actually there is cheaper leather that holds up better, you'll have it forever and never need to come back and see me again. The work was great. Everyone says, oh the guy did a great job.  Others should know that he operates in a really different way than most places. It almost looks like his shop is empty a lot, it seems like there is nobody there, he just quietly works in the back. You have to go up to him and engage him in a conversation. He listens carefully and offers very good advice. Don't be deterred or turned off by the appearance of his shop. It is not a reflection of the very meticulous work that he does. I have received endless compliments about the re-upholstery work that he did on a very old school chair of mine. He did an extraordinary job reupholstering it. It is my favorite piece in the house. Sometimes I see crappy things that I want to bring him because I know he will turn them into something really special. I was willing to pay more for more expensive leather and he recommended against it. He told me that it wouldn't holdup as well.  That is the kind of service that you really appreciate. It is somebody who gives you honest, good business.
