The crew did a great surface clean. But I was looking more for help with a few specific things- bathroom grout, baseboards, specifically. My needs weren't met.

Barbara's crew was great. Showed up on time in the pouring rain! The team worked quickly and efficiently, and the house was spotless and clean when they left. Mari came by pre-clean to give an estimate which the crew stayed within. Service was professional and thorough. Followup call to confirm that everything went well and verify credit card payment. Came through on short notice, which was terrific! Will definitely have back and highly recommend.

I have never felt so calm and restful in anticipation of people coming to clean my home each week. Mari came for the initial assessment and took careful notes and asked pertinent questions. With an on-going renovation, there is a lot of dust, but the surfaces are all taken care of, so it doesn't feel like a construction site anymore. Sometimes I am home when the crew is working, and the efficient speed is remarkable. They work willingly with the products I prefer (I cannot handle the commercial products, only natural products), and my idiosyncratic ways: Please do not empty the garbage/please leave sheets untucked on the beds/please do not organize closets or clothes/please do not wash walls. In the past, other crews have dumped the dirty floor washing water over the railing of my front porch, emptied recycling bins into garbage and thrown out, emptied their coffee containers onto street in front of house, left furniture and pictures so disheveled and out of order, I had to spend an hour putting my home back together again, did not dust rooms that were not messy (I and quot;clean for the cleanersand quot; so all their time can be spent dusting and vacuuming, rather than picking up after the family), so a lot of the house would not be dusted. Barbara's Homecare respects our home and belongings. They are pleasant with one another, which makes for a calm and peaceful working environment. They are punctual and well-organized. Every surface is dusted, every room is kept the way I had it, pictures are dusted and leveled again, and windowsills are dusted, as well.I look forward to working with them for many, many years.

A stellar job was performed and the staff seemed terrific.
After a call today (the next day) to arrange a bi-weekly schedule I was informed that the original quote would go up because the staff were not quite satisfied that the deep cleaning was done to their satisfaction and that they would need to spend more time. Nothing was mentioned to us at the time and we were there when they left. I also received no call stating that at the time.
So, the extra time for a 2nd cleaning would bring them up to their original price of $240 so that the staff could satisfy themselves that good job had been done. Then the quote for the biweekly cleaning went up again. I felt that this was underhanded and as we all know, the professional companies all require a and quot;deep cleaningand quot; before they are willing to take on a schedule. I guess the sales tactic here is to pressure a client into paying more because no one wants to go through all that expense again.
I got the feeling that the owner is a very smart business woman and also felt that I was being taken for a ride. I felt like I was dealing with a car dealership. High pressure sales.
So this is the end of my journey with larger house cleaning companies.
I am sure that this business will come up with some plausible and convincing response. So yes, we do not seem to be a good fit. Take this review for what it is worth to you, the customer.

I worked with Mari on setting up a bi weekly cleaning schedule. She visited my home to provide an estimate and was extremely patient, helpful, and polite in response to all of my questions. The girls are always punctual and do a fantastic job.

Barbara's Home Care gave me a fair price. I'm satisfied with their work because of their price and their thoroughness. They did a very thorough cleaning job.

Barbara's Home Care is a group of people and I have to stay at home when they're cleaning because I have 10-month old twins. The people that come were very friendly. They will say hi to the kids and ask me if I have anything in particular that I want done besides the general house cleaning. I appreciate that they're not frustrated with me because I am disorganized. They are flexible and they do confirm with me every week about the time. The earliest they've been is like 40 minutes early. There was one time that they threw out something they thought was garbage, I called, they came back and brought it back so I appreciate that. They rectified it right away. I've been using them for a few months.

They do a good service. They are very prompt, and they are understanding if the schedule needs to be changed.

They are professional. They don't always go to do a true cleaning, but compared to other services I have tried, it is not too bad. So, I am conching with them for now.

I got Barbara's information from Angie's list. I called, an estimator came out to the house the next day, an estimate was provided the day after and a time for cleaning was arranged. It was done very well and to my satisfaction. And the house was rented. In addition, Barbara's estimator provided me with the name of a painter (Niko's Home Improvement) who I will be putting on the list and reviewing. He was terrific and much less expensive than others I interviewed.

I like them because they are doing an excellent job. The house is perfectly clean. They did a little bit more of what I expected.

They came to the house to do an estimate for cleaning the house before we moved in. She was very thorough and pointed out things they should do that I didn't think of. Then they came and cleaned on a couple of different days so they could work around some contractors who were finishing things up. They cleaned for a total of 21 hours and did a really good job.

The cleaning team was extremely efficient and professional. They were scheduled for 11:30. At 10 i got a call that there had been a cancelation and they could come at 10:30 if i wanted, which actually was perfect for me. When they came in the team leader introduced herself and the crew went to work. they worked quickly and efficiently. i am very happy with the work.

I was very pleased with the service. They did a very thorough job. Well Done!

I have been using them for more than a year but I recently suspended their service because of some financial issues. I am trying to save some money. They will resume the service in the summer. They were excellent and absolutely fantastic. It was a monthly service where in three maids would come in once a month and clean up the house. It would cost $150 per month without the tip. They were very careful and they never broke anything in the house. I have had other people that came into the house and broke things. They were very professional and would show up within fifteen minutes of the appointed time. I could leave the house to them and go away. They would clean the house and lock it. They would do everything very meticulously like dusting and vacuuming the house. They would clean the bathrooms as well. I thought that it was a good deal as they put in a total of six man hours to do the work with each maid putting in two hours. I would highly recommend them. I would start using their services again as soon as things improve.

I found Barbara's Homecare using Angie's list. Barbara was responsive, professional and organized. We spoke by phone, she visited my home and then provided estimates for a deep clean and regular on-going weekly house cleaning. Her crew for the deep clean was terrific - thorough and busy the whole time. Barbara came by as they were cleaning and followed up the next day to see if I was satisfied. I was very happy with the deep clean and the regular weekly crew has been here as well, showing up as expected and staying the amount of time Barbara had estimated. Fee quotes have been accurate and fair. I am very happy with Barbara's Homecare and look forward to working with them.

We had been using Barbara's Homecare since May 2009. In the beginning, we were impressed by their professionalism and attention to detail. However, after each time that they came to clean our house (every month), we felt their quality of work was not as good as it had been in the beginning. The team would rush through our house and miss many areas that needed to be cleaned. When we addressed this with our coordinator, she was very professional and assured us that it would be taken care of the next time. We did give them another chance, and the next time they came, they again rushed and said it was not "their job" to try to get out a certain stain. We are no longer using their services.

They are very good. They are responsive and professional. However, their price is a little expensive.
