The technician was honest with us about the condition of the unit and gave a rough estimate of the cost of replacement vs. the cost of repair.

•  Drain & remove old system,1/2 day  labor.   1 day vac for me.
•  Start installation  one week later,8 hrs. labor   1 day vac for me again. 
•  Finish install one week later,8 hrs. labor. Wife stayed home this time.

 Fourth day, perform work on punch list. Now complete

 Fifth evening. Run down  on operation & final payment.Rec REBATE FORM for NJ natural gas clean

   energy.

 Note that I was not in any hurry. It was still warm out. I got this quote mid April 2013.

I've been using Fox Heating and Air since 2006.  I'd seen their trucks around the neighborhood and tried them.  They were timely and to my mind affordable.  Keeping the system clean and maintained for $179 a year seems reasonable.  I believe that regular maintenance keeps you out of the larger problems that might come up by surprise and really bite your wallet.  
The guys they send over are usually the same guys we see year after year.  To me that says they run a decent business when employees stick around.  They call me twice a year to arrange for the maintenance visit and are never pushy about renewing our contract immediately or anything like that.  They give me a call 30 mins before arrival and are usually on time.  They are polite on the phone and in person.  The maintenance guys always ask if they can use the sink or the hose outside before they do.  I can't complain.
We had one problem when our very old A/C unit that came with the house broke while they were trying to maintenance it.  They were very responsive.  We had to pay for the new A/C, which would have happened soon anyway, but b/c it happened on their visit they bought and installed a new water heater for us.  With the new A/C, they did a major move of the placement of the A/C to the side of the house instead of in the center of the patio.
I would recommend them.

Technician trouble shot systume and found bad transformer.  Went and got replacement.  After making out bill and getting ready to leave he and I smelled something  burning.  He went bacn to the air handler and found that the blower motor was shot,  He picked  his tools back up and pulled the blower.  he took the blower back to the shop and replaced it and cleaned up the housing and came back the following morning and reinstalled the blower.  The next weekend I passed the air handler and saw water running down the front.  I called them and they sent a teck back  and he cleaned out the pan under the coils and blew the drain line clear.
 We have had no problems since then.  I will ask the company for a quote on a new heater unit in the fall.  The Teck agreed that I should get mutiple bids for cost.  I was most satisfied with service I received.

I contacted 6 different companies to get an estimate to replace my system. All of them were rated A on Angie's List. This company was one of a few that was willing to replace the condensor without making me also replace the air handler in the attic which saved me about $5000. Some companies claimed you had to replace both which I did not want to do. In addtion, while their quote was competitive with another company I was considereing, they honored their coupon for 10% off despite the fact that the coupon was for services only. Bill Fox stated that he really wanted my business so he would honor the coupon. Because of the additional savings I hired this company.
The technician arrived a little late but I received a phone call from Bill Fox ahead of time to let me know. That was very professional. When the tech arrived he started immediately. He was there most of the day and when he was done the new condensor worked fine.

He is very knowledgeable.  He explained to me the things that he did do.  His service was good.

Beautiful job. Very neat and professional. Covered the hardwood floors to protect them, cleaned up everything beautifully. Kept to both the price and the schedule. Took the time to explain the workings and maintenance of the units. Would use them again in a heartbeat and would (and HAVE) recommend them to others.

Owner himself came to give estimate. He was prompt, informative and not at all pushy. He talked to both me and my husband equally.  The estimate was right on and well within the range we expected. The work was excellent- the crew was polite, prompt and cleaned up after the work. They covered my hardwood floors so they would not be damaged by the work or their workboots.Very professional. I would recommend them to anyone.

They are a Trane dealer. They were very responsive. The salesperson talked too much but he was very nice and gave a lot of information, maybe too much because it took too long to do it. The workers were good. They were fantastic and excellent. They were punctual and efficient in the time spent. They explained everything they were going. The president of the company came out to the house during and after the work, which was pleasant. The system is fantastic. With the beastly weather that we have been having it is so nice.

They invited me to watch them do the service unlike other companies that don't want you to be around. They also allowed me to ask question during the work performed. They installed a high energy efficient system and presented me with cost saving options with no pressure at all to purchase anything. Also with the system they offered a 12 month free financing offer. I called for emergency service because my line froze and they were out within 10 minutes. The owner of the company called to discuss with me why my line froze and how to avoid it from freezing in the future. Last week I had my air ducts cleaned by another company and my electricity was shut off accidentally from the cleaning and they came out with no charge to turn it back on right away. The service overall is fantastic, they stand behind their product and actually get to speak to the owner of the company which surprises me.
