US Energy Renovations

After talking to three other companies recommended by the NJ Energy Savings program, we finally found US Energy Renovations. Unlike other companies, they charge a small fee for a complete home energy assessment, which we loved. We got an in depth 3-hour assessment of everything around the house and were able to ask a bunch of questions with no strings attached. Other companies either took around 15-20 minutes for the assessment and just recommended things that were covered by the NJ program and tried to get us to sign up on the spot, or they said that our whole house was pretty much garbage and that EVERYTHING needed to be replaced (our house is a new construction only a year old built to code). Their assessments were free, so they make money via doing work for us, that's why we were glad at least someone charged a fee for the assessment and didn't try to sell us stuff that we didn't need. George made suggestions about things that could be improved, gave us a list of things we could address with our builder before paying someone to do the improvements and advised us on many other things that weren't covered under the scope of the NJ Energy Efficiency program. We're first time homeowners, so he did us a huge favor by giving us a list of things to keep in mind for the general house upkeep. George definitely went above and beyond, so we decided to hire his company to do the house improvements for us. On top of everything, he gave us a much better price than any of the other companies. George rearranged his schedule to get us in pretty last minute because we wanted to get the work done before the holidays, so we really appreciated that. We ended up adding a bunch of things in addition to our original requests, George and his team had no problem adjusting on the go. The team worked quickly and cleanly, the place was spotless every time they left for the day. They even worried about sitting on chairs in dirty clothing when we invited them to come have lunch with us. Very considerate and friendly people! Whether you are just doing minor stuff like attic insulation through the NJ program or want the complete energy efficiency upgrade, we highly recommend George and his team! The difference in heating efficiency is already very noticeable and we're able to keep the house a few degrees cooler due to better heat distribution, so it was totally worth it! The pricing was supported by a state grant, but their pricing was good. They did a nice job.
