They usually have been pretty good. I've been happy with their service.

We've used them in the past and their services usually have been pretty good. That's kind of why I stuck with them. The communication from start to finish was good. They could improve their pricing. Just to clean one drain was like 400-some-odd-dollars. That's a lot of money.

We've used RR quite often. They've always come quickly and completed the work at a reasonable cost. Not just fixers of clogs; pipes, meters, toilets, showers, other leaks.

The serviceman was prompt and professional. He cleared the line in a short period of time. A few days after, an inspector from Roto-Rooter came back to put a camera through the pipe to check if everything was good. He found something a coupling that could cause more problems in the future. We were thankful for the heads up.
We have used Roto-Rooter in the past. We have always been pleased with the job.

Came and evaluated quickly. Free estimate. Once we agreed on price, went to get parts, came back within a couple hours, did all the work, and left. Couldn't be happier.

The plumbers that Roto Rooter sent were really professionally invested in doing an excellent job.  The Plumber demonstrated a personal HIGH standard of service that you don't see often.  Your plumber invested the time and energy to guarantee the the problem was corrected by clearing the drains in both directions and snaking as deep as was possible.  I was very impressed and pleased to be the recipient of such good service.
 

The service provider arrived on time and was extremely professional and courteous. He quickly found the problem, suggested a solution and did what was required. The service was for a home in the Bronx and I would highly recommend them anytime!

We had tried a few drain de-cloggers before we resorted to calling Roto-Rooter. We had first put in a call to our plumber, but when he called back, we had already contacted Roto-Rooter. Our plumber said that we made the right call since he did not have the proper equipment. Roto-Rooter impressed us with that, and how well they got our sink drain cleared. We called the local Roto-Rooter, located in Farmingdale. They were fast, reliable, and professional.

Kitchen sink had been slow for awhile. Tried enzyme drain cleaners with no success. Decided to call in a professional to clean the line. I choose Roto-Rooter for their reputation, positive reviews on YP and a $40. online coupon. Scheduled appointment for the afternoon but RR called and said they could come earlier if we wanted. Agreed and the techs came promptly. The techs, Eddie and Derek, were professional and careful about keeping the under sink cabinet and kitchen clean. They were knowledgeable about the type of clog we probably had and advised us about the possible risk of damaging the old pipes. We decided to also have the main line cleaned (for half price) at the same time since we had never had it done in the 20 years we are in our home. They actually wound up pulling out a wipe of some sort from the house to cesspool line. Eddie said that was a good indicator of a possible cesspool issue, since retrieving something that was not actually blocking the pipe meant the pool could be quite full. He recommended a free estimate from a cesspool tech. This required a visit from another tech with a pump truck. This was scheduled for later in the day. We were later called to say they would be delayed but should arrive by 6PM. Dave, the cesspool tech arrived a bit later than that. He accessed the cesspool cap and after inspecting, recommended a service of pumping, acid treatment and aeration. His recommendation was based on the fact that it had been more than four years since any maintenance was performed on the cesspool and the level of the liquid in the pool, and the hard buildup he determined was at the bottom of the pool. It was not a "high-pressure" sales pitch but more of a professional evaluation and recommendation. Although I feel the pricing was a bit high, I felt they were honest, knowledgable, friendly and professional.

I have a ski house in Tannersville near Hunter Mountain. I had no water because of what I think is a broken valve. I called a number listed in the Yellow pages that said they connect you to local providers 24/7. I first called Friday night and initially a nice guy from Roto Rooter called me back and I explained the situation but said I was ok until the morning but could he send someone as early as possible. He said he would call his plumber in the morning and they would call me to set up specific times. When no one called by 9am I called the main number again and they said they were just the connection hub and they would transfer me to the local people, I gave my zip code each time. I was sent to a voice mail where I left a detailed message to please call back asap. There was a snow storm predicted and I didn't have that long there. No one called back by 9.30 so I called the main number again and this time when I gave the person my zip code again she said she would try to contact the plumber on duty as maybe the call had been routed to him and he was busy so he hadn't heard the voice mail. When she finally came back on the line she said 'oh sorry Roto rooter don't service that zip code! I couldnt believe it. I had given the zip code each time and the man on Friday night had assured me someone would be able to come. The women then said yes well some of the evening people dont know what areas we serve!! I was very unhappy needless to say. I had to leave because of the storm and now have to make an extra trip just to try and schedule a plumbing job. I will not be calling Roto rooter again.

Let me begin  by saying the work was done professionally under emergency situation. I have no complaints about the work that was done or the repairmen that did the work. My issue was with the price. I have had the sewer roto rootered several times over  the years and their price was more than double what I have paid in the past. But since the garage and basement were flooded I didn't have much of a choice but to go ahead with the job. As luck would have it while they were here the drain pipe under the kitchen sink sprung a leak and a second repairman came very quickly with parts to repair it. Work again was done quickly professionally and with good humor. So before you have them come check what their charges will be.

I did receive the $40.00 coupon discount but not the 10% senior discount.

Would I call them again? not sure.

Went great, they came within 45 minutes of my calling.  Eloy was my technician.  He got right to work and within 20 minutes problem solved!  They may be a little expensive but they were very responsive and I didn't have to wait around all day, it was well worth it.

They were attentive, professional and hard-working.  The various teams worked long hours to complete all the stages of the project within a short period of time.  They were always considerate of the homeowner's needs.

Did they come the same day I called them?  Yes!  Did they call ahead to let me know that the workers were on their way?  Yes!  Did they unclog the bathtub drain?  Yes!  Was it worth $440 for 15 minutes and an automated tool?  Absolutely NOT!  If I had known when I was making the appointment that it would cost that much, I would have looked elsewhere.  I'm sure someone would have come on the same day for 1/2 that amount!

I was help by a gentleman by the name of OSERN he was the embodiment of courtesy and professionalism I was very impressed by his work he was punctual and did a great job, he really went the extra mile. Someone needs to give this guy a promotion!

The first plumber spent almost 4 hours with no result. He broke 2 snakes and had to leave.

The next day the second plumber showed up with the right tool and did the job within an hour.

The price was high but considering how long it took to complete the job then it's not that high.

The plumber who originally did the plumbing in the building did a terrible job and something simple as cleaning a drain made absolute

ly impossible.

He performed the services, cleaned the area, and put a paper towel under the line for 15, just to make sure it wasn't leaking.
I would highly recommend using them in the future.

We chose Roto Rooter, despite their high price, because they had good reviews.  We were happy with their speed and professionalism, at first. 
However, the repair on the sidewalk left a dangerous stump between the old and new slates.  R.R. agreed to return to repair the sidewalk properly.  Despite multiple emails, phone calls and voice mails, 5 months have gone by and the stump remains a liability.
If it's this hard to get them to deliver on doing a decent job of repairing the sidewalk, I don't want to imagine what it will take for them to deliver on the guarantee they claim to provide.
