When Mom moved from a single family home to a condo, we knew that sorting through 49 years' worth of stuff would be a major
undertaking. We had Tri-State Movers come twice: first to move the big furniture: bedrooms, dining room, and living room. This opened up space we needed to sort through the rest of the stuff in the house, so we could decide on the pieces to be moved the second time.

For the first move, Mom called me when the movers arrived. In the 10 minutes it took me to get to the house, the crew had packed up all the couch cushions, moved a sofabed and two love seats to the truck, and were rolling up the living room rug. They wasted absolutely no time, working harder than I would have thought possible on a very hot and humid August day. A few pieces of furniture had been in the garage for a number of years, and the dust did not seem to faze them. Within about four hours, they had the furniture from the rooms on the truck, drove the two miles to the condo, and unpacked and placed the furniture in the condo. One piece of glass on a display cabinet did break when they were bringing it up the stairs, but it was not the movers' fault; the piece was old and the glass was not well secured in the door frame.

In the second move were smaller pieces such as occasional tables and chairs as well as some boxes and storage racks. The second move, on a much cooler day, took about 2 1 / 2 hours. I thought the price was very good for the amount of work they had to do. All the guys were polite and a pleasure to work with.

Excellent. What a great, professional, nice group of movers. Family run. Father, son and three employees. Were so careful. Wrapped everything carefully. They were calm, not hectic and rushy. Our things were in good hands.
Recommend these guys highly. It was an extremely hot July day and the movers did not complais. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. My husband was so happy with these movers that he bought them all lunch and had them eat it at the kitchen table at our new house. They were very appreciative.
