"Crossroads responded to a clogged main line at the customers home. When the tech arrived he attempted to clear the line and there was a foreign object lodged in the sewer line that the tech had a hard time clearing but he cleared the line. The homeowner was notified that this problem may reoccur. Within a weeks time the homeowner called Crossroads back for the same problem. A senior service tech went to the home and attempted to clear the main line. He could not clear the clog due to either a broken line or a foreign object in the line. After working at the clogg and ruining 2 steel coil cable sections the Sr. tech determined there was a possible break or foreign object in the line. The Sr. tech was able to get the line running again but let the homeowner know that this will occur again. Within a few days we were back at the home for the same reason. At this point Crossroads had determined to have a video camera inserted into the line to have a positive identification of the clog. The home owner was resistant to paying for the camera because he wanted his home warranty to pay for a new sewer line when the home warranty company already denied the claim due to, a foreign object is a non covered item. The homeowner was wanting Crossroads to replace the sewer line from the house to the street, however it is company policy that when this type of occurance takes place there must be a video camera of the inside of the pipe. While these determinations were going on, Crossroads was going to attempt to clear the line for the third time so the homeowner would have use of his facilities. Due to the removing and installing of the clean out plug the cleanout plug wore down and when the helper began to remove the plug, the plug fell into the sewer line. Since the line was in need of some sort of further service, whether total replacement or spot repair, and since Crossroads was waiting for an answer from the homeowner regarding the use of the video camera to determine what the next course of action would be, Crossroads was 'on hold'. The home owner then decided for Crossroads to replace the line with no video camera. Due to Crossroads company policy, Crossroads did not return to the home due to the homeowner not willing to cooperate with the second determination which was to have a video camera put in the line to determine the cause of clog. We apologize to the customer for any inconvenience."
