David was a professional through out the process. He met with us to look over the kitchen. He explained his process and materials and gave us his estimate. He then came back with colors and swatches. We picked colors. He painted boards in the several colors we chose so we could tape them up and really see what they looked like over the course of the day with changing light conditions. He was very patient despite a few last minute changes. We were not sure what to do with our island. We wanted a different look for that. He made a suggestion to gel stain it a darker color rather than paint it so that it would retain some of the wood's character. It looked great but it wouldn't dry. He played around with different materials until it worked right. It looks great. Bottom line, we would not hesitate to recommend David for any type of painting job. The kitchen looks terrific for a fraction of the cost. I am now recommending David to my clients who want to list their houses and have kitchens that could use some "refreshing" before showing.

We are very pleased with his work. He even worked on two weekends to complete the job. David did a great job and was a perfectionist. He also did some little extras for us and left the rooms in immaculate condition.

He hired David previously to remove wallpaper glue, repair plaster and paint staircase walls, upper and lower hallways. He also faux finished some pine trim that was original to the house (built in 1930's) that was in need of some TLC. He did an excellent job, worked clean, accommodated our schedules and stuck to the original estimated price.

We had him come back to stain/finish the kitchen woodwork. The final price came in below the original estimate and, again, he did an excellent job.

RECOMMEND HIM HIGHLY!!!

We have an older house with narrow hallways and a steep staircase with a high ceilling. We purchased the house a couple of years ago. Recently, when we took down the existing wall paper, we found alot of glue, some cracks and minor water damage on the plaster walls.The job was too overwhelming for us. Also, I did not want my husband trying to use a ladder to reach the high walls and ceiling above the staircase.
We brough 3 companies in for estimates. All explained how they would address our concerns.
David's quote (hourly) came in around the middle of the 3 we received. However, his was the most thorough. We were confident that we was not going to put a bandaid on the plaster issues-- he would repair them properly, paint and address the wood trim that was in need of some TLC.
We are thrilled with the results! The walls look great. The wood work looks original-- great faux work!
When I was unhappy with the blue we chose (too light) , he repainted for the cost of the materials only.
We trusted him with a key (we both work) and we have no regrets.
He worked cleanly and everything was in order when we came home every night.
Pleasant, professional, trustworthy.
We are bringing him back in soon to stain and finish the new/raw wood trim in our kitchen.

David scraped the outside of my house including cutting back overgrown ivy and painted it with an oil primer and a beautiful blue with a contrasting color for the trim. David specializes in finding unique details in the architecture and highlighting them.
David spent a good amount of time with my family , as we had the entire interior done, and he was always respectful of our space and things and he was very helpful to everyone in the family.
David spends a lot of time in the prepping of walls and ceilings, what I did not know when I hired him, is that he is an expert plasterer as well and repaired and resurfaced every room in the house. He filled and retaped every faulty seam and filled and smoothed every blemish in the walls.
David carefully moved and covered everything and cleaned and replaced all the furniture in each room as he finished.
He loves working on doors and every door in the house has painted details.
We used 14 different colors in our house and it looks terrific.

David did a great job painting the interior of our home. His initial estimate was way off, which is why I put low marks for price and punctuality, b/c it took him much longer than he had anticipated. But, he came back and did touch-ups for free and was very reasonable in negotiating a revised price. David is a very nice guy and a quality painter. Would definitely recommend him, with only that one caveat.
