Our experience with Heverly Realty was wonderful.  Closing on our old home was a complete nightmare, but it had absolutely nothing to do with Heverly Realty.  In fact, they were the heros at the end of the day.
Our real estate agent was Jim Marengo at Heverly Realty.  Jim is a great guy.  He was patient and showed us loads of houses.  We finally settled on one and the process of buying our new home was a breeze.
Selling the house was a different story.  We listed our house for sale through Heverly.  In about 3 months we had an offer, which is a miracle in this market.  Once the house was under contract, that is when things started going down hill.  Again, it had nothing to do with Heverly Realty.  The problem was with the buyer's real estate agent and mortgage broker (see my review on Weichert).
The long and the short of it is that this deal almost didn't happen because of the incompetence and lies of third parties, which Heverly Realty had no control over.  It ultimately did go through because of the enormous amount of time and energy spent by Thomas Heverly, Sr. and his Saint of a wife, Doreen.  They kept us as sane as possible and informed through the whole process.  They were very honest when it came to whether the sale of our house was going to happen and when.  When it came to closing, shenanigans still happened.  However, Mr. Heverly kept an even keel, stood his ground, and it all worked out.
I may have PTSD from selling my house, but if it wasn't for the amazing folks at Heverly Realty, I would probably be in an asylum!  If you ever need a realtor, I would HIGHLY recommend Heverly Realty!!!
