From start to finish, it was flawless. We obtained 3 proposals and went with ARS primarily because we felt like Alex was the most thorough and transparent. Our install was performed on schedule and within budget. Alex checked in regularly post install to be sure everything was working properly and we were properly credited to Trecs. 3 years later, we are still extremely satisfied and highly recommend this company.

From start to finish this was by far the best option out of 4 other companies I spoke with. From the transparency and amount of knowledge Alex provided to make sure I was comfortable with making such a long term decision to the care the installers put into the design and installation of the panels themselves, ARS exceeded all expectations. I have owned my solar system for almost 3 years now and couldn't be happier. Right from the beginning when Alex came to my home and explained all of the options I knew I was in good hands. He explained everything clearly with no bait and switch tactics. Then the ARS team did a wonderful job installing my system in the most professional and courteous way. They continually monitor your system so that if a problem should arise they are on top of rectifying the situation. I haven't had an electric bill, even the monthly $6 service charge from AC Electric is covered by the excess credits which I have accumulated. So if you're ever considering getting solar Alex and the ARS team are the way to go.

I had toyed with the idea of getting a solar system for a while but was turned off by the "hard sell" that followed any inquiry I made to solar companies. After listening to an interview with Alex of ARS I knew this was the company I wanted to go with. Alex's knowledge and passion for his work came through loud and clear. He answered questions about solar energy that I didn't even know I had! When I reached out to him, he was able to give me an educated overview about renewable energy and was more concerned about providing me information and answers than he was in making a sale. ARS kept me updated throughout every step of the process and were always available for any questions that came up. To quote Mr. T, "I pity the fool" who doesn't go with ARS!

The short story. Using Alex for my solar installation was the best choice I ever made. I would expect anybody who hires Alex to have an excellent experience. The detailed story I met Alex 2 years prior to my installation. His company had a booth at a local craft fair. I stopped just to ask questions about solar installation. Alex spent lots of time answering my questions. I made him a promise that if I were to go ahead with a solar installation, I would get in touch with him. Over the next two years, I received lots of unsolicited calls and literature from various other solar installers. I even had one came to my house to make a presentation. But, when the time came to actually have an installation, I remembered how impressed I was with the knowledge of Alex and an honest approach. Glad I did. The installation happened on time, as much as can be expected because you have your local power company and local municipal inspection. Alex has no control over the timing of these two outside authorities. But, with the guidance of Alex, they actually went quicker than normal. I also had additional electrical requirements (I had recently bought an electric car and an electric heat pump heating system for the house) that needed to be explained to the local electric company. I needed more solar panels than could be explained by prior utility bills. Alex walked me through the whole process and now the solar system is making enough electricity to provide all my current electrical requirements and, according to my electric meter, I am approximately an extra unused 2500 KWh, which will help balance out the Winter months (when there are less sunlight and therefore less solar production). In addition to sizing my system perfectly, which was not simply because of my estimated future needs Alex helped select solar panels that actually look good on my roof. (my panels are on the front side of my house). The day after the installation was completed I went outside and look at my roof. I first thought the installation had not been done. At first glance, I did not even see the panels. As compared to most solar installations I see. Drive past my house and you would not notice a solar installation at all, which is what I wanted, and Alex supplies. My next-door neighbor did a solar installation about a month after me. He went to a larger well known solar installer, who was a client of his (I am sure he got a better price). But I have a better visual installation. The story ends with Alex. The installation crew was efficient, clean, and well organized (remember they need access to the inside of your home). I can't recommend Nextek/ARS enough. Bottom line up front: Their integrity is second to none, and they're the only company that I've found to be 100% open and transparent when it comes to solar installation. I did a fair amount of research before I even reached out to companies for quotes, so I felt confident when reps came out to explain things. Jim was professional, transparent, and easy to understand. Other companies used fancy buzz words and hyperbole like "free solar" and "nothing out of pocket", etc. Jim did not, he took the time to answer my questions and it never once felt like a pressured "sales" situation. After I elected to go with Nextek, Alex the owner personally reached out to me to explain the timeline and process going forward, as well as answer any lingering questions I had. Barring a few weather related setbacks, Tom from ARS got everything together and installed faster than I expected, and without any shortcuts (like ugly conduit that you see on some other installations). Everything was completed about 3 years ago and I couldn't be happier with my panels, but (more importantly) I can't overstate how valuable it is to know that if I wasn't happy, I could reach out any time and talk to someone I can count on.

Working with Alex and his team was a seamless process. From the first time we met with Alex he was honest and open about the entire process. He was knowledgeable about leasing vs owning - and helped us make a informed decision to purchase our own system. Installation was perfect and the panels look FANTASTIC on my house. The type of panels they use do not have the bright silver edge and blend so nicely with our roof (some people don't even notice it!). If you are looking for a honest company to work with I highly recommend them! I was referred by a friend who used Alex and his team. And I have since referred a few friends who are getting panels installed. 

Our experience with ARS was great. From the beginning, Alex Lukacher thoroughly explained the process and timeline, and the benefits of owning versus leasing the panels. The installers were professional and neat, and left no exposed conduit on the house. Alex is very quick to respond to questions. Overall a very positive experience. Would definitely recommend ARS.

I have had my ARS installed solar system for over a year now. It is preforming exactly the way Alex explained it would. I have earned over $3,200 in 12 months, most months my electric bill is under $5 even during the summer. I had several solar companies reach out to me, almost signed with one until I read the fine print and saw that I only would be saving a little bit and that is was a 20 year lease (which was not explained to me at all). They were very misleading and did not explain all the incentives that I was signing away. Thankfully I pulled out of the contract in time, but I lost trust in the industry. I saw an ARS/Nextek commercial, loved that they were a local company and that Alex (my solar consultant) was actually our Babe Ruth baseball coach. I asked him what the deal was with solar, that I felt it was a scam. He came out to my house, explained everything thoroughly and was very patient with my many, many questions. He explained why these solar companies are so eager to get to as many people as they can, thereâ s a lot of money to be made for going solar in NJ and thatâ s what theyâ re after. As far as the workmanship and design. I was really concerned about how the panels would look on my roof, I really wanted a symmetrical design. ARS designed my system around all my wants and needs, they were very accommodation to all of my concerns; I got a new roof as well! Everything went seamlessly, very clean and respectful workmanship.
