It went very well. Completely reliable, arrived on time, work done quickly and efficiently. Very happy with results.

I recently purchased a 2-family home that needed a lot of work, including tearing out really ugly carpet (some rooms were green and pink!) and laying laminate. Raul was fantastic. I provided him the flooring that I wanted and his team did a wonderful job of installing it within the timeframe that I was quoted from the beginning. I was able to give them access to the house without needing to be there, which I appreciate since I work for myself and don’t make money if I have to take off from work. The floors look even better than we were picturing, and we plan to hire him again when we’re finally ready to sand and stain the hardwood floors in the other unit. I definitely recommend him.

REC Floors is a wonderful company. Not only did they refinish my old floors when I was putting my house up for sale but they later saved me when I moved and discovered stains on the floors. He came out on the Sunday before my closing [Monday] and made sure the floors looked pristine in time for our closing. All work was done efficiently and Raúl was easy to work with. I would definitely recommend them.

We had used REC Floors 13 years ago and this second time around was the same as the first time, Raul and his staff were professional and accommodating to our needs.

Raul and his team did great job! They were very professional, explained to us what they can do and what they will not be able to, gave us quotes on different options. We had a tight time frame, and Raul was able to manage the project perfectly and delivered on time. He also kept us informed on the status (pictures, sms, etc). The end result is great.

Overall, we are very satisfied and will definitely recommend to our friends.

Raul was very likable, accessible

 and professional. Because of a leaking air conditioner and a dog who had difficulty being housebroken, my floor was a mess. He did a beautiful job; better than I ever expected. There was minimal dust;, much less than usual after this kind of procedure. I am so satisfied and highly recommend him.

.I couldn't be more pleased with the work they did.  It was well worth the expense.  They were prompt, courteous and professional.
I also like the idea that the product he was using was water based so there was not a lot of dust of chemical smell.  They helped me clear the room.  They made sure the room was sealed off  to limit the amount of dust.  It took a few hours for them to do my 18x12 space.  My floor is absolutely beautiful.  I smiled every time I look at it.  Everyone who sees it asks me who did it.  I highly recommend them.   Thank you Angies List.

This is the worst home improvment experience. I contracted Raul Cevallos to install bamboo hardwood floors on the first and second floor of my home and to strip and stain my hardwood starirs. I contracted him in August of 2013 and am having on going issues with his work. First the stairs were not sanded down to be smooth and the stain and shelac were not sufficient and I had toask him to come again to do that. Secondly, his workers did not reinstall the radiators properly and they began to leak and warp my new floors. Luckily I had some boards left so they could replace the damaged boards. Then, the boards began to separate. Now the floors are completely lifting. There is a big speed bump in the middle of my living room and throughout the first floor. I am very upset and frustrated. I called him and sent him a text message and he has not responded. At this point in time, I will have to hire someone else to re install the floors. I expect to have to reesolve the issue through court.

This is the 4th time we have used Raul and he continues to do excellent work. He is punctual and completely professional. The floors look like new and we will continue to call him for all our future floor repairs.  Thank you, Raul and Angie's List!

Both floors came out perfectly.  They look brand new.  Raul did a great job matching the new stain with the existing molding.  The floors were very shiny, after the first coat of varnish, but after the 2nd coat, it was super shiny.  The stain really shows off the grain of wood.

Raul was very professional and was knowledgeable of his work. He was always on time and always returned phone calls with concers I had. I was very happy with the fineshed product and will definitely recommend his company to others.

We found REC Floors on Angie'sList and based on the reviews, decided to call. Spoke directly with the business owner, Raul, who came the following day to take a look at our floors, We do not have any rugs covering our floors and the living room, kitchen and hallways are pretty high traffic and therefore pretty scuffed and damaged in some places. We said we did not need the bedrooms done and agreed that Raul's crew would move all the furniture from the areas which were being re-done into the bedrooms. Raul expressed some concern that the color of the "new" floors would be slightly lighter than those of the bedrooms (it turned out to be an almost exact match!), but we decided to add wooden saddles at the bedroom doorways just in case. We scheduled the job for the day after Christmas and Raul and his crew arrived shortly after 8:00 am. We were in touch over the weekend and Raul said that they would be coming in on Monday to replace the furniture in the rooms. We arrived home on Monday afternoon and were delighted with the results! The floors look brand new and everything was immaculate - no dust or fumes. I also want to mention that the financial/business is handled by Raul's wife, Ivette, who was an absolute doll. I highly recommend REC Floors!

REC Floors did a nice job with my floors.  I had a problem with very squeaky floors.  When we stripped the floors, Raul said that the underlying plywood had probably been exposed to water, causing the squeaking.  Also, the plywood was not as thick as it should have been.  The solution was to add an additional 1/2 inch layer of plywood and install new floors.
Raul is very pleasant to work with.  He is accommodating and genuinely seems to want to offer good service.  After the job was complete, there was some glue stains on the floor and he came back right away to clean it.  He also guaranteed the work to be completed in 5 days and he met that deadline.  The final bill also came very close to the initial estimate.
The only aspect that could be improved is the quality of the work.  It was very good, but it was not perfect.  For example, the crown molding had to be removed in order to install the floors.  Some of the molding was not re-installed properly because there are tiny gaps.  Prior to installation, my floors were a little uneven.  After installation, the unevenness became accentuated.  I wish they had noticed it and suggested to do something about leveling the floor because now some of the furniture does not sit firmly on the floor.  There were a few chipped areas on the hardwood which, when stepped on, would catch on my socks.  These are just some minor details, but overall, it was a nice job.
I am looking to have new floors installed in another section of the duplex and I will be using them again.
