Brooke Contractors

The primary problem was that a wall they constructed was not able to hold the weight of the glass shower doors. Brooke Construction assured me that the wall would hold the doors, however, after the glass company installed the doors on this assurance, within 3 days the wall started to buckle from the weight and the doors shifted. Brooke Construction accepted no responbility for this. The doors had to be removed and the walls reenforced. A second contractor was hired to do this work and corrected the problem. Part of the wall and tile had to be removed and reinstalled and the solution required a new door because of the changed size due to the new construction. Brooke Contractors were completely uncooperative in correcting their mistake. They claimed it was not their responsibility. 'We are now headed to Small Claims Court this week as I put a stop payment on their final check. The costs to correct their work was greater than their final payment. Further, they have also filed a Construction Lien on my property. The amount in dispute is $2,000.
