United Group Moving And Storage

Don't use this moving company! They lie about when your goods will be delivered but just manage to deliver them before the legal period is up. They STEAL! Several items of mine were stolen BECAUSE they were packed in their original boxes. Someone at this company goes through your belongings while they are in "storage" and steal what they want. It's been almost one year since I moved and they still have not settled my claim for damages and missing items. I have the feeling they push their customers' complaints aside until the customer threatens them with legal action. There is NO customer service at this company - they will NEVER contact the customer to update them on a claim or they won't give the appropriate person a message. I was told when I contracted with them that I would not need to leave a down payment - LIE! On the day of packing, they wanted money before they would load up the truck. It was very difficult for me since my bank had been changed to another state and the money was transferred to my new account. This moving company uses plastic wrap to wrap up your belongings - wrong! Items still get scratched and broken. I will never use another moving company that uses plastic wrap as it doesn't protect your belongings. I have moved many times during my life and this is the WORST company I have dealt with!!!!!  I am now forced to seek legal counsel to settle this claim.  My goods were moved under the name of Capital Van Lines. 

This company did not act responsibly or professionally. The broken furniture is replaceable, but the many pieces of sculpture and art collected in our years of travel is irreplaceable. When we complained to them, phone calls were not returned, and our dissatisfaction fell on deaf ears. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
