John met with us and reviewed our ideas and made meaningful suggestions to help refine our plans. Based on our discussions, we worked with a local company (Ferguson) to obtain our desired vanities, tubs, fixtures, etc. Once our supplies arrived, John and his team began work. Every day John would arrive to discuss and any issues and necessary modifications - sometimes even better than originally planned. His team was impeccable in their work and always kept our home and work area clean. If there was ever anything that wasn't what I envisioned, they did whatever it took to make it right. The final product was exceptional which was made all the better by a pleasant and productive partnership with John.

The project went very well. The workers meticulously removed the railings and rotted wood floor. They were very neat with their work stations. They not only replaced the floor, but built a storage unit and flower bed as well. They were very timely completing in less than a week. They cleaned up the deck and work stations very well.

John was professional and honest. The building inspector in our town is very demanding and she thought his work was excellent. The original deck that was approximately the same size had 8 footings with Johns construction he used 18 so the feeling is very solid. The decorative railings make the deck beautiful and unique. We are very happy with the deck and would recommend John without hesitation.

The contractor stated that he could not do the work for the estimate he had given and left the job site. He had previously seen what the job involved and my communication in terms of what we wanted him to do was also confirmed in emails.

John was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He gave me his honest opinions and after talking we decided to not move forward with any work as it would not be ideal for my situation. He saved us from a lot of unnecessary work and he didn't pressure me at all. My only thing with John was the scheduling. He seemed to have maybe scheduled a bit over his schedule. Snow was a factor in our area but the scheduling still could have been a bit better.

It wasn't an overall good experience. It didn't feel like they were qualified to do some of the woodwork. The engineered wood flooring was laid over concrete and it turned out to be a mess. They used a water-based leveler and waited a week instead of a month (as you're supposed to over concrete). They also laid it on a hot, humid day. The day after they laid the engineered wood floor, it started to bubble. They too off the cost of the labor for doig the floors. They also offered to redo it but we refused and took care of it ourselves - we didn't want them to touch the floor anymore. I also wanted a different type of crown molding, and he said he would work with me. The wood they put up for the crown molding wasn't to my liking -- they told me that there was no changing and this was what they do. They laid uneven sheetrock and some of the wall is uneven. The wood ceiling came apart and was put up in some places incorrectly. After the job was done, some of the ceiling buckled. Our exterior wood door swelled and we couldn't open or close it. My husband left John a message about those issues, but John never returned our call. My husband had to spend a long time fixing that. We also took down the crown molding and put up what we wanted after the job was done. Of the two new windows that are side by side, one is higher than the other - they don't match up. Some of the windowsills were uneven where they meet up, which we had to fix ourselves as well. We didn't know the paperwork with the township wasn't finished until we called the township about some of our recently-installed fireplace issues. John Vitale's work was still open to final inspection. We were surprised to find out that my husband's name was on the forms as the person who did the electrical work when it was the worker who actually did the work. John Vitale had to hire an electrician to come and inspect the work that had been done in order for the paperwork to be closed, which he did not bill us for. If you're particular about your woodwork, I wouldn't recommend him. His worker was very nice and I'd say that our fireplace turned out very nicely.

Mr. Vitale was knowledgeable and honest. He sought to understand our needs and provide the best product for budget. He was attentive to detail and was always available to deal with any issues. If anything was not to our satisfaction, he would work with us to make it right (even after the job was done).

Very well we are always pleased Very helpful in decision making and planing our remodeling. Also very reliable and attentive to our needs. Always a phone call away. We have used John Vitale for all of our jobs in and outside of or home and will continue to for jobs to come ! Clean and efficient !!!

It couldn't have been worse. He went bankrupt and he couldn't complete the job. Because of him, it to us an additional year to get the job done and cost us another $60,000. I also have a crack in my foundation because of him.

The work was super and they were really good. They were easy to work with and flexible around our schedule.
