Back to Nature
About us
Back to Nature Home & Garden was founded by Anthony Sblendorio in 1994. Fresh out of the Rutgers University Landscape Architecture program, Sblendorio saw how developers and landscapers were sabotaging outdoor spaces with a lack of concern for local history, wildlife or ecological impact. Sblendorio wanted Back to Nature to take a different approach – examining the land and how all of the elements worked in tandem. He knew that proper design would yield unique outdoor spaces. Areas that could sustain and produce a regenerative environment while positively impacting the local wildlife, watershed, soil, and ecology.

On the agreed-upon installation day, they had equipment problems; they called and told us what had happened, so that we weren't waiting around in ignorance. They arrived when they had told us, following the problem. The installers were very good. They dug the planting holes by hand (a BIG challenge on our very rocky property!); this is much much easier on the rest of our lawn and driveway. They used plenty of good soil in the planting holes. In addition to being very competent and careful, they were nice guys to have around!'
We have already returned and purchased other shrubs that we were able to plant by ourselves; when these were delivered, the delivery persons looked at the planting site (where we had started digging the holes) and gave us guidance on the best way to prepare the sites.
Back to Nature wil definitely be our and quot;go-toand quot; nursery.
On the day they were to plant them, they called to tell us they had mechanical problems with their truck and would be a little late; problems can happen to anyone, and they were professional enough to keep us informed. When they arrived, they actually dug the holes by hand - much much much less impact on our lawn! The guys were conscientious, neat, and pleasant. Our property is very rocky, which made their digging job that much more challenging, but they just soldiered on!
We have purchased some smaller plantings from them in the past and were equally satisfied with those experiences as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
