Darren was already on the roof when I arrived at the house we are in the process of buying, and I had gotten there early. He did an incredibly thorough inspection. He found some things that we are going to get further looked into. Provided a very detailed report within 48 hours. Would highly recommend.
Darren is more than you could hope for in an Inspector - professional, thorough, clear, knowledgeable, courteous and responsive. He was already on the roof on site when we arrived at the appointed time. He goes above and beyond - he checks EVERYTHING including running the dishwasher. In addition to pointing out each and every issue he took the time to explain to us also how the home should be maintained for optimum performance.
His report was available within 2 days. It is clear, detailed and it provides photo evidence of any issues he finds along with a summary.
Darren recommended we contact a mold specialist and a structural engineer based on horizontals cracks he found in the basement wall, along with a few other concerns. We did, and as a result, we ended up not purchasing the property - it would have cost upwards of $40,000 to fix the structural issues alone.
We cannot rave about Darren enough. He's the only Home Inspector I've met who has the courtesy to bring slippers with him to an inspection which he wears on entering the home. We have friends who have since used him and we will also be using him again on the next home we purchase. You will not be disappointed if you pick up the phone and make that call to him.
