I wanted to completely gut and remodel my bathroom. This business came as a recommendation from the owner of a tile company so I thought I was going to work with a professional. Simply Elegant Home Design presented itself as a one stop shop for all of my needs to remodel the bathroom from managing the contractors, designing, ordering, decorating the bathroom including introducing me to the drapery business and the contractors who would do the remodeling. I asked and was assured that her contractors had licenses and insurance. In fact, I asked the contractors myself and they said, "yes". I was told they worked together for 13 years. After installation started to go south, bathroom items were damaged, and home was left dirty, I found that they had only worked together on one kitchen job per the contractor and they did not have the proper licenses or insurance to be performing the work. The responsiveness was lackluster as my communications were often not communicated through to the contractors. Where I was expecting professionalism, it was non-existent, for example one email that I sent to her communicating the damages and frustration, she told me she read to her in-laws and husband with all of the voice inflections and tonality that she thought i would have. Another example of lack of professionalism is the forwarding of an email meant for her to the contractor who immediately called me up and threaten me to stop complaining. I found this business to provide false information and to lead a customer down the wrong path by providing misinformation.
