When my son brought the car in for the engine light and handling issues it was looked at and he was given an estimate of over $500 for engine work and told that he had 24 hrs. to hire them or else pay a $200 fee for having them look at it. He went ahead and had the work done as he could not afford to give them $200 for nothing and did not know what else to do. It was brought back a few weeks later due to continuing noise in front end and loose steering. It was looked at and leaking oil and hydraulic fluid were found in the transmission and oil pan etc with a quote of over a$1500. The front end noise and steering issues were ignored and not addressed.. When my husband and I went to pick up the car I opened the door and it now reeked of hydraulic fluid which it did not do when dropped off. We requested that they clean the car as obviously someone had tracked fluid into the interior on their clothes or shoes and were shouted at and insulted by the person in charge who insisted that there was nothing wrong because they did not work on the inside except to drive it. I was told that either my son "stinks" or that he put something in the car that "stinks". An argument followed and we were told never to come back there again. The car is now not driveable due to the odor of the hydraulic fluid that was tracked into it. Also they were well aware of the fluid leaks and transmission problem when my son brought it in to address the issue with the engine light and handling and never said anything to him. He is a college student and wasted his last $500 to adjust sensors in a car that is obviously falling apart or as they put it "leaking like a sieve". They took advantage of my son expecting it to be brought back so that they could get him to pay more money and they were obviously extremely angry that we declined to have additional work done on a car which is (their words) falling apart. There is no excuse for the rude and abusive way in which I was treated. The only request that was made was that they clean off the fluid that their worker had obviously tracked into it when looking at it and moving it.

They are very good and this company is one of the few that have a triple A rating from the automobile club. They did a good job on the auto repair I needed and they are very accommodating. I was able to leave my car there and their pricing is reasonable; it is within range of other competitors.

I've relied on Fonzarelli's for regular maintenance work, repairs, and accident repairs for years. The staff is always friendly and professional. Appointments are always on time as scheduled. Work is nearly always done right; the few times there were repeat problems, they often didn't charge for follow-up work. They also helped with unique problems (rodents nests, out-of-state relative's emergency repair, etc.) at no charge or minimal cost. Have worked with me to get discounted prices on parts and resolving problems with extended warranty provider. Only drawback - they don't do loaner cars (but there are 2 car rental facilities nearby).
