Excellent. Travis came over and gave me an estimate and answered my questions. Date was set and adhered to. Three teams of workmen came through. One team ripped out floors, the next installed the hardwood and the last came and mixed the stain to match my other floors perfectly. They also came daily to put the desired layers of polyurethane on. The workers were on time, thorough and cleaned up. Travis was by daily to oversee and addressed any concerns. My floors look gorgeous. Overall, I’m very, very pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend!

The company sent over a representative to see my floors to give me a quote. I clearly explained that I wanted a stain similar to what I had; a dark rich stain. I was told NOT a problem. When the team would come, they would give me the stain options and I could select my color. No problem.
Day 1, they sanded the floors and performed a couple of stain samples so that I could choose. I selected my color which was a dark red mahogany and ebony mixture. I was skeptical that it was a bit light but was told that the color would dry to my liking.
Day 2, I inspected my floors and to my complete DISMAY the wood color was a chocolate light brown. I was NOT happy. I was NOT going to put an oil finish on this color. Not acceptable. They tried to convince me that applying a second stain would possibly damage my floors. I was NOT buying this. I was not proceeding until the color was fixed as discussed the previous night. A dark rich stain. They added a second coat of stain.
Day 3, They added a coat of poly
Day 4, they added a coat of poly
The office REFUSED to schedule the 3rd coat of poly because they had performed 1 stain and 2 coats of poly. I received an invoice which stated ....sand, and finish by applying 3 coats of poly. I refused to pay this invoice until I received a 3rd coat of oil poly but they refused until I accepted to pay them an extra fee of 130+tax.
In the end, their office stated that the quote was for 3 coats of finish which means 1 coat of stain and 2 coats of oil. This was a flat out lie. The quote stated verbatim "sand........and finish with 3 coats of oil based poly".
Anyone who is looking for a dark rich stain, please review your quote and get the clarifications in writing before accepting the quote. Otherwise you will be held hostage and will be forced to pay extra to finish the job.
In addition, they subcontract their work. I would have been so much happier if I would have contracted this job with the subcontractor who did a very nice job.

While Gorsegner Brothers once had a good reputation, I would strongly suggest reconsidering using them if you want to ensure that a quality job is done.

The refinishing went well but quite a bit of shoe molding needed to be repainted. Not that this was a big deal but I did ask them before starting if the shoe molding wild need to be repainted and they said I should not need to. however, I did need to.

They were great. Overall, the work done was great. They were very prompt and did exactly what they said and it worked out very well. They re-did a floor, that people said could not be done. Moreover, they did it very well. The floor is six years old and now after they re-finished the floor it looks like it's just been laid. I would use them in the future, but I probably won't need to.

We spent about $1500 on that work. We thought that they were fair and they did a good job in the end. The floors looked good and we were happy with them. They came and left on time.

When coming to give a quote, they were very straightforward about flaws that might not be able to be fixed because of old damage. The workers were prompt and polite, and worked quickly. The job took parts of 3 days (sanding, finish, sealer) but the floor was accessible fairly quickly after the individual parts. The dust-free service was extra, but worth it, as there was no sawdust anywhere. The floor looks amazing now. Some of the flaws they warned about did remain, but others blend in perfectly, and actually make it look better. I have already called them about doing more work installing a new floor because I was so satisfied with their professionalism, the quality of their work, and their prompt response.
