Our brand new custom home- The prints showed a tankless hot water heater. Plumber said he quoted based on a 50 gal tank. I explained we want a tankless and that’s why it’s on the prints. With the area I live in and his 45 years of experience he said I wouldn’t want a tankless. The water will eat through the insides. I said I understand they have to be flushed annually and maintained. That’s not up to the plumber and this is what we wanted. I also explained we want a tankless with a recirc line for instant hot water. I said you have to run a hot water line from the furthest hot water device back to the unit to recirculate. He said he knows what to do. Fast forward to when we’re about to sheetrock and I look at the hot water heater and there’s no recirc line hooked up. When I questioned it he said all the lines in the house were less than the requirement for a recirc line… with his 45 years of experience. I again stated this wasn't up to him. He said it will only take a few seconds more for the water to get hot. I told him I wanted the recirc line installed. He asked which bathroom do I want to have the instant hot. I said all of them. He said it’s either the master bathroom or the kids bathroom because he didn’t connect all of the devices continuously and it would be $300 extra. He ran one line down into the basement from the furthest bathroom in case it was necessary and we were getting hot water quick enough. Once the faucets were installed it took 1 min 52 secs for hot water. Now that we moved in it takes over a minute for hot water… We have superior walls as the basement foundation. The pex tubes in the basement were installed on the outside face of the studs (where the sheetrock goes). This had to be redone. When it came time for the septic pipes to exit the foundation they asked where the grade would be. I said just under the basement window. I have 9’ basement walls and they put the pipes exiting the foundation half way up the wall. When the septic tank was installed we realized the pipes exiting the building were too low and both had to be raised about 10”. They had to redrill 2 new holes above the old holes. They attempted to seal the holes with hydraulic cement. 3 out of the 4 holes were leaking every time it rained. They came back out to “fix”. When I checked out the repair I was surprised to see white spray Flexseal! This had to be redone. Workers complained throughout the job that the house wasn’t made for plumbing. All the outside faucets have non-stainless screws. They all rusted already. I was surprised to see all these good reviews. Most of them are older. Maybe things have changed. Would not recommend for a new home. Don’t Ask the Plumber

Arrived on time for appointment, they didnt have the faucet we needed replaced, so they went to supply house an was back within 30 minutes. Replaced faucet cleaned up and was completed. Total time about an hour. Of course the faucet we chose was the most expensive because it was not chrome color it was brushed nickel.

I have used their services many times and each time they have succeeded my expectations. They arrive when they say they will, they complete the job quickly, never leave any mess behind and have extremely fair prices.

Professionalism and courtesy were demonstrated from start to finish. The pricing was fair, questions were answered, the work exemplary and our yard was left with minimal disruption given the magnitude of the job.

We had many minor but needed repairs to be done in my 91 year old Mother's bathroom. I had called a plumber that I had used previously who basically did not return my calls. I called A.S.K. the Plumber whose office people were extremely pleasant and professional. Their representative came at the appointed time, treated my Mother with repect and finished all that she requested and more within a half hour. The work was done neatly and professionally.

I was very pleased with the service. The two young men were quite efficient and competent. They worked on the project (installing the sink that we had purchased) just a little over an hour and had to go down in the (hot) crawl space to get access to the water shutoff, since there were no shutoff spigots under the old sink. They cleaned up and put everything back neatly. I recommended them to several people afterwards, I was so pleased. We've lived in Medford for 6 years, and I wish I had discovered Ask the Plumber before this.

He was very good. He tried to work with me in terms of price and he was very reasonable. He was able to repair it so I didn't have to replace it and I was very pleased.

The guy from Ask The Plumber is very punctual and is right on time. He is very dependable too. He has some nice people working for him. We have used him for 20 years or longer. He is a general plumber. His prices are extremely competitive. He has been extremely good with us. We have absolutely no problem with him, whatsoever. We think he, along with his entire staff, is excellent; that is the reason why we’ve been using them for so long.

Owner, Andy Kupczyn, and another guy arrived at 9:30 am and were finished by 11:00 am! They took away the old hot water heater and were nice enough to put the old water softening unit in the garage, so we could roll it out to the curb on trash day. As usual, Andy and his team were thorough and professional. They also answered all my questions, and I ask a LOT of questions. We've used ASK the Plumber since we bought the house five years ago, and they've fixed everything you can imagine, from water line leaks in the basement to toilet leaks and clogged drains. Can't say enough good things about them.

When reattaching our components, we found the people who removed the disposal, left with a vital part needed to have the disposal work. I was hosting a dinner party the next night. Tosh and Charlie from Ask the Plumber managed to get everything working except the disposal, so I could make my dinner. They then came back on Monday morning with the needed parts and got everything working in short order. Nice people, good work.
