Solar Panel Installation
I hired Green Power Energy to install a solar system at my home. The system was turned on April 24, 2025, and immediately afterward I began experiencing electrical problems, including flickering lights. These issues progressively worsened. A licensed electrician inspected the system and discovered damage to the meter lug. United Illuminated, the utility company that installed the bidirectional meter, confirmed that their work did not affect the lug. Therefore, the most plausible cause is disruption during Green Power Energy?s installation. They acknowledged the issue but denied any responsibility, stating they did not touch the damaged connection. However, this component is integral to a solar system?s connection, and the installer is obligated to inspect it. The damage was either caused or missed during installation. When something goes wrong, homeowners deserve more than a denial. Beware!!

A smooth timely installation of 27 panels on my roof. All the people I emailed, talked to and installers are very professional, responsive and patient. They answered all my questions as well as there was a follow up calls, email going back and forth even after the full payment and completion of installation. Even my friends who I recommended had very good experience and spoke highly about Green Power Energy.

Just completed the long drawn out process of solar licensing, installation and approval. For me this included installing a new roof since it didn't make sense to have to replace my roof five or even ten years from now and then have the solar panels removed and reinstalled. There was great communication with Green Power Energy throughout this process and the reps were knowledgeable and supportive. One small glitch when the meter failed inspection but otherwise everything ran smoothly. I would recommend Green Power highly.

We had a great experience with Green Power. They took care of everything, including financing, permits, and dealing with the electric company. Everything was so easy! Because we had to wait on all of these things, the whole process did take longer than I expected. But it was the town and the electric company that were backed up, so it wasn't anything to do with Green Power. They even set up an energy audit after installation, which gave us helpful solutions to save energy and money! I would definitely recommend them!

In mid-late 2020, we did a thorough review of Solar providers and ended up selecting Green Power Energy. Primary reasons for our selection were their solar experience in NJ/PA, competitive pricing, location of HQ and experts (1 hour away from my home), and all work done by employees (no subcontractors). We got things rolling in the Fall of 2020, first finalizing the design after reviewing the detailed Sun analysis and a few additional options. The project was then formally kicked off with long lead items placed on order and with installation initially scheduled in January. However, after some terrible Winter weather including a 30 inch snowstorm, we were not able to schedule the installation till the early Spring. After rescheduling, the install went smoothly with no hiccups being completed in 2-3 days (50+ panels). They handled the permits with the local township and secured the approvals with the utility (First Energy) flawlessly. The system started up in early Spring delivering nameplate capacity which has resulted in electric bills of $23, $8, and $8 for the first 3 months, and immediate banking of credits! We had a final closeout meeting, doing the system review, some minor training, answering all our questions and running through the options for managing the SREC process. Other than the weather delays, my wife and I had a great experience with Green Power Energy. We would highly recommend them for your solar project!

I manage contractors and construction work in my job. This review is related to the installation. 1. GPE was reasonable and available when I had questions or concerns. 2. There were weather delays due to snowfall and they worked around them providing reasonable time tables for returning to the site after the weather had cleared. 3. At the conclusion of the project GPE staff followed up to make sure we understood our installation and how to reach them should any maintenance issues need to be addressed. My expectations were met and I'm happy with my solar panel install.

Green Power Energy was excellent. From start to finish these folks were top notch. Selecting the system was easy and everything was fully explained. They made payments easy and anyone that was sent to my house was cordial, professional, respectful and very willing to detail the steps and process they were going through. Return visits to inspect the system and ushered everything thru with my utility. They made this so easy. Best part was after the system wad installed. GPE was still there guiding me thru the new world of power production they helped me break into. ThereĆ¢ s a lot going on and these folks were my partners - not just the retailers. These guys are great. I had another solar companmy giving me quotes but they were really annoying and pushing a lease which I figured out on my own made no financial sense for me. But Green Power wasn't pushy at all, they basically just offered a really low rate and then made everything very painless. What I like the most is how they are very responsive and helpful if you need anything, but they don't bother you much if you don't. We've had our system (52 panels) up for a couple of months now and everything has been great; there was one time they called me to say they were sending someone out because they wer getting s awerif reading from one of the panels (they monitor them fo ryou) and then called the next morning just to tell me eveything was all good. Go with these guys, they're straightforward and professional.

I had a great experience with these folks from start to finish. From the sales rep, the electrician, the communication and operations teams that provide updates, the contract specialist, to the folks who installed the panels. They were all kind, responsive, professional, generous with their time, all while doing work that looks incredible. Everything looks so neat, organized, clean, and professional. I'm really happy with the results and looking forward to seeing the system in action. It took just under three months from when the contract was signed to when the system was turned on. These folks also offer some of the best warranty coverage out there. You may pay a bit more than some other companies might quote you, but I've read some horror stories with surprise fees last minute as well as companies ghosting you as soon as panels go up. I have no doubt that if I have any issues, these folks will take care of it without complaint. If you're shopping around for the right company for your solar project, I would no doubt recommend these guys.

This is my first solar project and I highly recommend Green Power Energy. They had the best price with the long term warranty compared to other vendors (via energysage). Peter helped me throughout the entire process and answered all my questions even before selecting them and laid out all the details that will work for me regardless of who I chose. He helped me select the best system in my budget and detailed out the ROI. GPE guided me through the entire process from scheduling, installation, documents needed when dealing with PSE&G. Kevin provided all the technical answers for setting up my account for TREC and the monitoring app. Great company and highly rated that I recommend to anyone.

I recently had a grid-tied 25,920kwh Solar array placed on my pole building this past year and have nothing but praise to offer for Green Power Energy LLC. My install consisted of 72ea - 360w LG Neons w/EnPhase IQ 7+ micros and Envoy. The sales team, the operations team, the install crew, the electrical crew, and setup technician were incredible! From beginning to end we maintained communication throughout the process, permitting, and final PTO. I was provided a digital model of my property during the quote process that accounted for tree shading, sun angle, and seasonal output averages for my area with the array which I hadn't received from other quotes. I was really impressed with the fact that they gave me some "creative" say in equipment placement and wiring routing during the engineering phase which allowed for an easier install and the ability to streamline my electrical panel arrangement and conduit runs for appliances in my shop and basement. Everyone was professional, timely, and I enjoyed meeting them and having a chat. The end result was more than I could have asked for! The system has been flawless for months and I received a follow-up as well from Green Power on expectations, care tips, and an after install virtual meeting to discuss anything I had questions about which I greatly appreciated. To give a small background of my expertise to lend some credence to my impressions of this experience, I'm an all systems Aviation mechanic of 23yrs on 7 different heavy airframes, former electrician, and machinist/fabricator. So for a company to deserve praise like this from me is well earned in my opinion. A huge thank you to Peter in sales, Mike, Sara, Taylor in Operations, Matt and his awesome install team, Chris and his electrical team, and Bruce our setup technician for answering all my questions, providing excellent workmanship, and making this an outstanding experience from beginning to end!
