He showed up when he said he would. He did his best to accommodate our  when we had st backs on our end. The job looked great when completed, all the seems where perfect and cleaned up the dust.

We had an unfinished basement and were looking to finish it (approx 900 sq feet of finished space).   I initially found Bert on Angie's list thinking i would just get a price for sheetrock.  I asked him if he knew anyone that did framing and turns out he could.  He gave us a great price.  Overall, the framing was fine.  I had another carpenter come in to do some finish work after the sheetrock and he was not impressed w/ some of framing b/c of some issues w/ doors, but overall, i don't care about that.  Bert did what I had asked and it was all great.   As for the sheetrocking....Bert and his team are really great.   Super fast and professional.  One of my friends who has built some homes and used different contractors even commented on the quality and liked it so much that he also reached out to Bert and ended up hiring him for a project b/c Bert did such good work and at such a competitive price.  Bert is highly recommended for sheetrocking as well as framing, if you need it.   On top of doing great work, he is really just a great guy.  My wife and I would often talk with him.  My wife was pregnant during the construction with our 3rd child and she was anxious to get it all done.  Bert worked his tail off to make sure it was done in time so we could get things painted, carpeted, etc.   Such a great experience.   Really glad I had Angies List and so glad that Bert was on it too!

Bert was great.  His crew was amazingly quick and they did excellent work.  A few cracks in the corners of a few room appeared because the heating system wasn't completely up and running while the spackle was drying, but Bert came back and repaired them anyway.
We had radiant heating on both floors in the house where the tubes are exposed on the subfloor surface (Warmboard, if you're interested).  As a result there was a risk of someone stepping on a dropped screw would puncture the tube.  Bert came in advance and but 4x8 sheets of cardboard to reduce that risk, which was great.
Overall I am very happy with Bert and would use his services again.

We're in the process of finishing our basement and have been through multiple contractors in the past year and a half. We've finally gotten to the point of putting up drywall (100+ sheets) and found Bert's Drywall here on Angie's List. We could not be happier with the service/product Bert provided. In addition to the drywall, Bert finished some framing that we still needed to get done (including a really tricky area around some pipes), insulated the walls and ceiling of the entire basement and the result looks amazing! Bert has gone above and beyond our expectations. He consistently showed up on time or early and stayed late in order to get it finished within our timeline. You can definitely tell that Bert enjoys what he does when you look at his work, it really shows!!

Bert is honest, reliable, efficient, skilled and an all-around great person. We will definitely call on Bert again, the basement looks beautiful!! Thanks Bert!

I spoke with MANY contractors before getting lucky enough to find Bert (Thanks Angie!). The great reviews I read about him where true. He immediately struck me as being HONEST. He also turned out to be equally reliable and dependable. Whereas many other contractors scare you into thinking your issue is bigger than it is, Bert put me at ease. He said that he likes this king of work and it's no big deal for him- imagine that! He had a very busy schedule yet he took time to accommodate our needs, which was to remove that stuff before we moved our furniture in. I had been given all kinds of estimates, some as much as 3x's what Bert accepted. HE DID A FANTASTIC JOB AT A GREAT PRICE. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO USE HIM AGAIN. Additionally, he went out of his way to answer a few unrelated and quot;new houseand quot; questions I had. As far as I'm concerned he is definitely one of the good ones and BERT'S DRYWALL LLC is a great company to hire. In fact, I have since recommended him to neighbors (they admired the job he did and asked who did the work!) If you can get him, I suggest you give him a try. I don't write reviews often but he deserved to be recognized as he clearly stands out. I completely recommend his services without reservation.

We were very pleased with the results.

Bert really went above and beyond to make sure our drywall work came out correctly. While it was easy to assess the damage to the room that we totally re-framed, damage to adjacent rooms was more difficult identify. Bert carefully worked his way through each of the affected areas to make sure our ceiling had not separated from its framing. With each visit, Bert handled our project with the level of care and attention that an owner might apply to his or her own property. He patiently answered our questions and has a warm, pleasant demeanor.

Bert was extremely courteous and professional. I found his pricing to be more than fair and his quality of work excellent.

Superb!! Bert is the consummate professional, having worked in his trade for many years, and obviously knowing exactly what he's doing.

Bert helped move our finished basement renovation project along - and I couldn't ask for better work. The walls are perfectly straight, flat and look simply gorgeous. He framed and boxed in a bulkhead around the air ducts, and made cutouts for the recessed lighting. It looks even better than what I had imagined!

You can't ask for a nicer person than Bert. He's prompt, a great communicator, and takes extreme pride in his work. Every board is perfectly straight, every joint is perfectly taped and he left my basement in a complete and quot;paint-readyand quot; state. He's clean, neat, and is everything you could ask for and more.

As I mentioned, he framed in the bulkhead - it was a bit tricky because of its irregular shape, but Bert made it perfect.

I couldn't recommend anyone's services any higher. The price is right, the job is outstanding, and he's about the nicest, most honest guy I've ever met.

Another great job by Bert! It’s amazing to see the level of detail and care puts into each job – big or small.

Having just moved into a new house, I needed a few things done to help prepare for my pets and even just storing the snow blower. After I saw the quality of work Bert did on the partition and drywall, I asked if he could do a bit more outside. The lattice under our deck is just beautiful! And since he’s local (Denville, NJ), and fully aware of the strong winds that come off the lake – he built it to withstand the winter! Bert matched the stain perfectly, and we think it really compliments the house … thanks again Bert!

I got lucky when I Goggle’d for a local Drywall guy – *B* for Bert's Drywall LLC was at the top of the list! He remains at the ‘top of my list’ as I couldn't have been happier with his work! A+ all around! Bert was a pleasure to work with and went far above what was called for. In addition to the drywall work in my basement, Bert also did some lite carpentry - also excellent quality and workmanship. Upon completion, the area was neat and clean too!

Fast, friendly and affordable. Came back to touch up anything that may have been overlooked without a hassle. Can handle large to small jobs. Will be using them again to finish off the rest of our home.
