All the staff I dealt with at Marksmen were professional, polite and very accommodating. I first had the sweep done to find the tank. Once it was confirmed there was an abandoned tank on the property I contracted them to remove it. They handled all the permits and made the arrangements for the inspection. They did a wonderful job in the removal and you could never tell a 550 gallon tank was removed from the ground. Everything was graded perfectly. They were very prompt in providing all the necessary paperwork for the approvals. Anytime I had a question my emails were answered promptly. I would highly recommend their services.

Did an excellent job! Showed promptly on time or early every time they said they would be there. Obtained all necessary permits. Took precautions so as not to make a mess or spill anything. Promptly addressed any issues. Insured independent inspection for compliance with regulations. Performed all necessary repairs and tested installation to insure proper operation when completed.

Marksmen is a first class operation. When we first contacted them, they were very timely in providing a detailed quotation. They also had the best price. Our oil to gas conversion was delayed by the gas company and Diann at Marksmen reached out to us periodically to see how it was going. Once our conversion was complete, we contacted them and they were very punctual. They scheduled the work, took care of the permits, showed up on time, performed the tank removal and filled the hole in one day. All we had to do once they left was rake out a few rocks and throw down some grass seed. Two weeks later I received a package in the mail containing all the permits and paperwork which will come in handy if we ever sell our house. Everything with Marksmen went smooth. Our first contact was with Diane, then Debra – they were both very helpful and answered all of our questions. We also interacted with Amy who does the billing and she too was very helpful. We would unhesitatingly recommend Marksmen to anyone needing an oil tank removed. They are first class all the way.

Excellent experience! Working with Marksmen was a truly pleasant, professional experience from the office management to the field crew, from step one until the end. Diane in the office was on top of scheduling and paperwork and Joel and Josh at the site were great people to work with. Couldn't ask for a smoother experience dealing with a somewhat stressful situation. Great job!

We were very nervous about having in-ground oil tanks removed because we have heard horror stories about the cost of removing tainted soil resulting from oil leaks. I spoke to Dianne in the office and she walked me through the process and how it works. I felt much better after speaking with her. After that, Jeff came out to each house to give us an estimate. We were happy with them and arranged to have the tanks removed and new ones installed. The first one was done in August and the second one was done in November. Jeff and his crew were professional and did a fantastic job installing the new tanks at both houses. Also, the crew who removed the old tanks was professional and went out of their way to make sure that our yards were left in the best possible condition when they left.
The only point that might need addressing is that it takes a really long time to get the paperwork from Marksmen but I know they are very busy so that's certainly understandable. All in all, we were very happy to find an honest company that makes it way less painful to go through this process. Thanks Marksmen!

The entire process would have been completed in one day except for the town inspector's schedule. Instead the tank was removed from ground in one morning, and then the hole was filled and tank removed from the property the next morning after the inspector had confirmed that there were no leaks from the tank. Sidewalks were protected and a couple indentations in lawn left by backhoe treads were filled in with soil. There was no damage to shrubs and trees that were near the tank.

I did check out Marksmen on Angie's List. They were highly rated, so I gave them a call. Out of the 3 soil remediation firms that we had estimates from, Marksmen was the only one who said they could remove the soil without having my neighbors take their retaining wall down. After we hired them, they came when they said they would. They answered phone calls, and questions. They didn't make us feel like we were annoying them for not understanding everything. They gave us paperwork, advice and made this process much less overwhelming. In the end, we did not have the extensive soil problem, that we came close to having, due to high readings in the field. We are currently in the process of waiting for our NFA(no further action) certificate. Marksmen told us that this takes time, due to the lengthy forms that need to be filled out for the state.

Everyone I dealt with was thoroughly professional and competent. They explained the process clearly and answered all my questions thoroughly, came when they said they were going to, dealt with the township, and were there really early to remove the tank to meet the township inspection schedule (which saved me money). Only wrinkle was township threw in an extra permit no one had been told about that I had to get myself. All in all, a very smooth process.

This highly rated firm met all my expectations and more. My contact person was Dianne who was outstanding in responding to questions and all the follow up that was necessary. Her clear concise answers, patience and sense of humor helped the process considerably. My detailed conversation with Mr. Allan Wysmuller, VP, regarding his experience in dealing with possible oil spills was truly insightful. I knew what to expect in the worst case scenario but luckily I did not have to face this problem. Josh, the person who removed the tank was a true professional. He arrived on time, explained what was needed to be done, worked diligently and most importantly executed the job cleanly and efficiently. He was amazingly skillful in the use of the equipment - fast and precise. Overall, it was such a pleasant experience working with a team that could only be graded as A+.

The team did a great job and while they did end up a bit late arriving because of an emergency, they work efficiently and managed to complete the job in 2 hours or so including the inspection fro the township which they scheduled for me. I received the official paper work stating that the oil tank removal was completed per township regulation. It is refreshing to work with a professional company.
