Borst Landscape & Design

Borst is an exceptionally professional organization. They met with us multiple times to create and review our quote. They use phone, email, text etc to coordinate which is very helpful. They have a staff that answers the phone professionally and returns calls. And most importantly they did an exceptional job picking out our plantings and replanting, re mulching, etc.We also just started using them for our maintenance and so far they have done a great job.  I would recommend them for any service.

A++++  We have had a very positive relationship working with Borst Landscape & Design. Everyone from Design to Installation to the crew has been extremely helpful, professional, dedicated and patient.  In particular, our designer Dave has taken the time to make multiple visits on multiple occasions to not only our home but with us to the various nurseries in the area providing us with the knowledge necessary to make informed decisions for our landscape design needs.  The Installation Department and crew showed great respect for our home and property during the prep/install of the projects and we can't praise their hard work ethic enough.  It has been a pleasure working with Dave, Mike, Rob, Carlos and the rest of the crew and we are looking forward to the next phase in our landscape design and renovation.

Borst does a wonderful job and our grass has never looked better.  We have a toddler and a dog, so we want to make sure that while they are playing on the lawn, it's not only in great shape but also healthy for them to play on too!. They are timely and very professional.  When we had a few snow mold spots last year, we called and Bob did a wonderful job of explaining to us what it was and also what to do about it.  Highly recommend!

Ongoing, they manage our lawn maintenance, fertilization and spring/fall cleanups.

My property has never looked so bad as it did this year.  The crew seemed to be in a hurry to finish as fast as they could, and I had to constantly ask them to cut my grass shorter because it never looked manicured like all of my neighbors who use a different landscaper.  When they cleaned up my leaves, they blew them into my neighbor's pond instead of putting them in the street.  Seem to be lazy and take the easy way out.

They are very professional and do a beautiful Job.  If you are not concerned about money and are extremely wealthy, use them.  They are the best.  But you will be paying waaaaaaaay too much.

We have used Borst Landscaping since 2004 for front and back landscaping and tree, shrub, and perennial maintenance. The work is truly beautiful, but the prices are very high and they did not take responsibility for problems. We received a nasty letter from one of their managers when we complained about pruning that was not acceptable. When we complained about it to the owner, he became defensive and nasty and did not offer any consideration. Because it was a full-service company and our grounds looked beautiful, we continued to use them. Then, despite using their tree and shrub maintenance program, we lost two trees to a fungus that we felt should have been prevented by them as part of their maintenance. When we complained, we were told that there was nothing that they would do for us. After spending about $40,000 with this company, we said "enough."

They are prompt; you call them with any kind of problem and they are there immediately. They fertilize all my shrubs and trees with organic material and not with chemicals, which is really great. Everybody in their office is great, and so is their service. If you ever want recommendation for whatever reason, they always recommend somebody who is reliable. I have a contract with them and they come every week to work on my lawn. The price is a little high but you get what you pay for. All their workers have documentation which is one of the main reasons that I’ve used them. They are great and my lawn looks better than anybody else’s lawn on our street.

I called Borst for an estimate for a large job which included a retaining wall, tree removal, steps to a second level, etc... The women who came could not just look at the job and give any opinions. she was obviously just a saleswomen and not the actual person who would do the work. Other companies that we had come, were able to look at the job and give us an estimate on the size of the steps they thought would look good and what materials they would use. This woman was totally lost and confused and unless we had EXACT measurements for her she could not give an estimate. My husband then met with her and felt she was confused as well and he gave her more exact information. She said it would take at least 2 weeks to get back to us with an estimate. We are not holding our breathe.

We are very happy with the plan created by Borst. They were very responsive and had good ideas. When we had them estimate the cost of implementing the plan, we felt the prices were high.

Overall, it was an okay job. We had some issues over items discussed making it to the final proposal and some of the smaller items to be planted that were detailed in the proposal didn't seem to make it in to our lawn.

OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH THEM WAS GOOD. THEY WOULD COME EVERY WEEK TO MOW FOR US, USUALLY WITHOUT BEING CALLED OR REMINDED. THEY NEVER LEFT ANYTHING FOR US TO HAVE TO PICK UP AFTER THEM. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS.
